rite now the question I encounter is most of ppl will advise why dint get a pci sound card insteads of onboard only as I think before to connect to receiver with SPDIF optical connection.
2 conflict statements I saw before:
1. when connect via coxial/optical will bypass the internal sound card decoder which is wasted if are not connect via analog.
2. sound card still decode and are not bypass fully.
secondly, some ppl are remind to check the digital audio streams output, Yes. 24-bit/196kHz support.
onboard audio 24-bit/192kHz support = creative sound card 24-bit/196kHz support while Prodigy 7.1 HiFi have 24-bit/196kHz support, and I also check Asus Xonar D2
which statement are 100% true, sorry for noob questions. ( I did try to search LYN and googling but no exact answer got yet at this moment ... )
If answer is there is still have a big diff then I will consider to get either Prodigy 7.1 HiFi or Asus Xonar D2 only as I ignore creative x-fi which is the EAX are mainly in games design which is I don't need.
