if i dont change anything in Foobar, it will play my FLAC audio as 44.1 Hz right?? And Replay Gain doesn't change anything and still produce the original source?

if you're paranoid about bit-perfect output, don't use replaygain and DSP

onboard realtek, using convolver, noise sharpening and advanced limiter in DSP, replaygain enable (album mode, apply gain and prevent clipping according to peak), feeding an 8 years old cambridge soundworks speaker

Do you know Death Magnetic by Metallica? That album has been compressed and brickwalled heavily, so it introduce audible clipping and distortion. Can i really prevent or reduce the clipping by using ReplayGain (prevent clipping according to peak) ?

the whole album is just a very POORLY mastered album. replaygain wont save it either.

try finding GH3 remix version.

Yeah it pretty bad mastered, cnnot hear LFE, Bass Guitar sound thin, kick drum sound flat and snare drum sound distort...but i love the music, CD quality nowadays suck. I used ReplayGain and set the preamp to 0dB i noticed my oldest CD which is ...And Justice for All released on CD 1988 would produce track gain and album gain around -3.65dB but when i compare to new CD such as Death Magnetic, Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Avril and Megadeth there are huge gap, it produce > -12.00dB..

Really loud and distort and bizzare. It's make my ear bleed if i don't apply replaygain , i don't know how come many people can endure listen to this really loud and distort music through their iPod / headset

how do you set convolver actually? where to get impulse file?

and, if i enable replaygain on preference, do i need to manually scan each track after that? coz by default it wont scan automatically for track n album gain..

Yeah you need to scan the files, or whole album at once, Replaygain wont work if the file does not contain Replaygain Tag.

I manage to run alduin. tks.

But there is 1 problem which is the chinese char. I google and follow the instruction in hydrogen audio until I am lost. I can see the chinese char in media player but just can not in foobar2k.

How do uninstall the alduin. I reinstall foobar but it still bring me to alduin (I　ｃａｎｔ　ｕｓｅ　ｐｒｅｆｅｒｅｎｃｅ　ｓｅｔｔｉｎｇ　ａｎｙｍｏｒｅ）

hey guys, i'm new to foobar, and I have a problem which need some sifu here to help me on it...
(i) Why my foobar cannot display chinese words correctly? Any setting?
(ii) When try to play the *.cue file, it got error like show as below pic, how to fix?

I'm using WinXP Pro and really need help for this, pls....pls....help...help....

A1. try changing the font to unicode font

A2. make sure the filename inside the cue file matches the ape file.

if you not sure about it, open the cue file in notepad and paste the content here.
