If it wasn't Will Smith acting, I think this movie would be a total failure. The show is kinda boring and draggy.

act talking alone or with a dog is not that hard..
acting with a non existing object like CGI is much2 more harder.. stimes director replace the character with a person wearing a green / blue costume .. that is okey, but if the director ask the actor / actresses to just imagine sthing is there, it's damn hard to get the feeling.. esp when it involves a lot of movement and eye contact... It is a pretty good movie and it definitely paint a picture of what life is like to be hopelessly isolated and completely deprived of human communication and interaction. Will Smith's portrayal of emotional instability and desperation for human contact is just brilliant.
of course couple of explanations such as how did the supposed cancer cure related to people turning into effected and mutated being, how did Robert Neville managed to survive throughout and how did he learn that those mutated being will only roam the streets at night and is vulnerable to sunlight could have given a more in-depth understanding but I suppose all of these loopholes is best left for our imagination to connect the story. The pace was just nice and there are certain moments in the movie that got me. on another note, this movie triggered me to think hard about how human will pay all the attention to what is remaing with him or her when all else are taken away such as sam. I guess it is when all things are taken away that we start to value them the most and will probably risk our life to make sure that nothing happens to the last thing that is yet to be taken away from us. just a thought. There's no way anyone can fight the darkseekers...they're just too strong. I'm sure he knows it as well. I guess this movie isn't really for most of the people.
Since i'm just guessing everyone would think that it'll be such an awesome action-packed movie or something. =/ But overall, i still love this movie. Will smith is legendary xD |
