my Q is...i wonder how Anna and Ethan can get out of NYC to the safe colony (by driving)...when the bridges/all sorts of roads/path r being destroyed. NYC is an island.

robert only confirmed the existence of airborne version of the virus after the mass infections. when he went to pick up his wife he only suspect that it might be airborne not yet confirmed. by then the infection caused by the non airborne version of the virus is already causing chaos so one way of stopping the virus is to completely isolate those infected on the island hence the bridges are blown up. not knowing that they might have transported humans infected by the airborne strain over.i think i saw sumthing like the virus killing them by causing massive internal bleeding or sumthing like that. 90% gonna get killed, less than 1% are naturally immune and the rest turns into darkseekers.
he also mentioned that k9 are immune to airborne strain of the virus. i think all animals are immune to airborne strain but not the strain that are transfered by bite. that's why there are lions and deers around hehe.

Correction - he is in Manhatten, which is basically a city on an island. The girl is heading towards Vermont, which is next to New York (the state). What you said is correct - the bridges into and out of manhatten is already blow up, and my best guess is that there's a boat somewhere. Or not. Or maybe the writers slipped on this one. it is not confirmed if they actually drove off the island. You will note that their car was not the exact same car as what Dr Robert drove (his got damaged by the darkseekers). My guess is...and this is assuming that all bridges off the island was destroyed...they got off the island some other method, boat or swim etc...and hotwired another car outside. You might remember Will Smith driving the Mustang at first, then going to the Ford 4WD later in the movie.

One victim vomitted blood onto Dr Robert's car when he was driving his wife and kid to the jetty. Another lady at the jetty had bleeding eyes. it's funny for me why they need to wait till dawn then can only come out when the darkseekers is protected from the sun underground at the lab. they could just either wait forever there until she come out...or just bang the door open or whatever...

will smith asking them to only come out at dawn make it sounds like the darkseeker must go back to where they come from when dawn comes...that's not true right?

it's also kinda funny to me why the darkseekers must use their body as a weapon...bang will smith trucks like E-Honda...bang the glass door with his body...why not use head or hand or leg? but if use head will be more funny...bang bang bang bang bang
