Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague -- The Infected -- lurk in the shadows... watching Neville's every move... waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered... and quickly running out of time.

I like I-Robot
I think its Will that made a movie to become super awesome. He's got that funny-tough guy-mancho-rapper-type that most action heroes now are lacking
The best part of it -- most of the time, he knows what movie to pick to suit his best acting, and I'm glad he had comfortably position himself in the action-science fiction movies
like the rest of you,i too cant wait to watch this movie...but if it gets the same treatment as Hitman(read:non stop actioncensoring) then it's screwed...

There's another movie that just came out recently that's very similar to this movie. Its titled I AM OMEGA, starring Marc Dacascos.
"The Omega Man is a 1971 science fiction thriller starring Charlton Heston. The movie is based on Richard Matheson's 1954 novel, I Am Legend. The screenplay was written by John William and Joyce Corrington, and the movie was directed by Boris Sagal. It was filmed in technicolor with mono sound and ran for 98 minutes. The movie received a MPAA rating of PG in the U.S. The story was first filmed in 1964, under the title The Last Man on Earth, with Vincent Price in the lead role. A third adaptation of the story, I Am Legend, starring Will Smith, is scheduled for release on December 14, 2007." quote from Wikipedia
