I'm a singer songwriter and looking for students who can help me produce an album. Not a commercial album. But clear quality is required. Please pm me.

what's the difference between getting it produced and getting it engineered?

sound engineer is the person who will do all the recording and mastering. Producer like everdying says is the person who arranges and make changes to the song and album. Usually good producers are hard to come by and they are freaking expensive to hire. However, there are some producers who will want to partner with you if you're good enough. smile.gif

Hey guys, I'm updating this thread: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/556086

So, do you guys think it would be possible to let me record the vocals myself and help me tweak it a bit? I'm looking for people who are using Fruity Loops or any other software that sounds good and real for drums and bass. As for guitars, I'm looking for clear sounds. I'm wondering if like, I record the vocals at my place and send you the .wav files, can you actually tweak it? Like if pitching lari or something? Sorry, I'm new to this thing so I really don't know much about recording, mixing and mastering. You can tell me more about it. I'm in this learning process. I'm not looking for one person to do all the tracks. I'm looking for a group so we all can learn from each other.

I realized I did not provide enough information about this album project. So...

Genre: Alternative Rock, Acoustic Rock/Pop
Sounds like: Coldplay, Dashboard Confessional, Lifehouse

I really don't know what you guys need to know. The album will have 12 tracks. Including the intro and outro. Let me know if you need to know anything else. I'm thinking about starting the project any time soon. And can we get it done in 1 or 2 months?

And questions for you guys. How do you wanna work? I prefer to work at home so no expense on the recording studio and all. My budget is tight.
What kinds of songs do you do? Care to send me a sample? ehhh, what else. Hmm, if I think of anything new I'll let you know.

So, if you are interested in involving in this project and want samples of my songs, I have some recorded ones and acoustic ones. Just add me in msn. I'm on all the time.

Msn: idiot_bubble@hotmail.com

Take care.

yes, vocals can be tweaked so its in tune.
but of cos its better you do the backing tracks first.

and i think since you got 5 posts you cant upload mp3s to here? guess rapidshare or something is better then.

I wrote these songs last year. And for the other songs I wrote them not long ago. Please give me some time to record it. What kind of samples do you need? plain guitar and vocals can?

By the way, these are really rough versions and my diction is pretty bad. But anyhow, take a listen first and reply here or pm me or msn me and let me know.

this is actually really good for a rough mix, I'm not gonna lie.
Good luck in finding a sound engineer who does you justice.
