Added on December 13, 2007, 4:45 pmYes, after a while I have to agree cos the vertical flip is in the wrong directions. Hmm... the N95-1 pouch is still the best I think, it's vertical flip and it flips correctly.
The new Nokia CP 235 is nice if only it doesnt flip horizontally!!! But worse come to worst I will still get it, rather than using this chapalang pouch for N95-1, which is not really a good fit for N95-2 LOL.

PDair: It flips vertical, from top to bottom. Like peel banana. This one I think wrong direction lor, IMHO, like bit weird la when answer phone like that.

Nokia N95-1 casing that comes in the box, same like 8legfreak pouch.

Nokia N95-2 - CP235 casing, flip horizontally, like a book This one is not so bad altho I like flip vertical more

Me old already mah, 29 yrs old. Haha. I used to wear fancy cute looking pouch but I had 3 near death experience when take out the phone. The phone NEARLLY dropped leh... thank god i managed to 'catch' it first, sigh... so i like the leather pouch that make the phoen stays inside, no need to take out. Safer for me. And I have to have a pouch altho it is bulky and not that sexy looking.... because I am obsess with fingerprints and smudges. I will be restless and keep polishing the phone... until even my camera lense cover now is scratched beyong saving

Yeah personal preferences mah I like the look of that PDAir... unfortunately I dont like the flip down thing. The one 8legfreak owned is expensive wor... So, for now the CP 235 is still in my list... unless I can find the one like 8legfreak owns but less than 100 in Singapore end this mth!

There are a few reasons why you cant see your location or it takes forever to show:

1. Low satellite signal, you could be in your house. But still it will show just longer time to load
2. You dont have the map of Malaysia (if ur in malaysia) installed in your machine, you can still see your location but it will take a long time as your data packet is downloading the whole malaysia map. Unless you have unlimited data package, dont do this as I believe Malaysia map to be around 10MB or more.. which means around RM1000 using the on the go data rate
3. Your GPS receiver screwed

So I have Qs for you:

1. Where were you when u try to get your location? Inside or outside building?
2. Have you installed Malaysia Map? Please install it if you havent via the map loader software.
3. Did u activate your A-GPS function already? This help to locked the satellite faster

So after install map all, go to MAPS>Find place>GPS Position [0]. It shows my place in 2 secs when I stand in my balcony.
If after you already install the map, outside of building and still cant show ur location, it's time to bring your phone to NCC lor.

Nokia map is free, it will never expired... the voice navigation is the one not free.
U can also try Gamin and Mapking, which received a lot of good reviews. But I dont have it as I dont use that much GPS to go around town. Well I dont use it actually since the maps are pretty outdated anyway.

Too many Qs to answer, so I'm just gonna write here:

1. To view video call on TV: YES. What you can see on ur phone can see on the TV. It's TV output so go figures. The quality sucks for video call for sure, like pigcat said, camera for video call not high quality to ensure low data transmission for smooth streaming.

2. Battery life good la as per toughnut said. New firmware for N95 boost a lot of things, I think they add that demand paging thing, so saving battery juice, applications loading time is lower.. faster camera operation etc. A friend of mine who has N95 so happy now To charge your phone every 2 days is ok what? Dont think it's ma fan wor. Who doesnt charge their phone until a week? Maybe black and white phone can la.

2. Nokia Map is the Map application, does it come with Msia Maps? ( AP sets) - Maps cna be downloaded via Map Loader software. Go to nokia site it doesnt matter AP or authorised, they are all Nokia phone, AP set here is authrorised set somewhere else in this world mah (unless u boy Nokla then cannot la, hahahaha)

3. Does MapKing directly has Msia and SG map loaded? - I heard they have the best maps or Asia. Didnt check it out, too lazy la all the GPS. Wait till the need arise lor.

4. What else i have to do with my new N958GB..?? - this is what I do with my phone: Watch movie/video clips (application dependant), play games, listen to music, read books/novel/manga (application dependant), take pics, take video, surfing internet, be online on my YM, skype and MSN, scanning document (application dependant), read emails, check appointments... hehe. But the most I do is read books, take pics and watch movie/music lor..

5. where? or can i install the V menu style(found on n81) into my N95? - if you know the application name, google it for percuma stuff. Most prob can install 3rd party application if have, N81 is also S60v3 yes?

Hehe yeah can play landscape mode... but I think it's games dependant? if you try the Fifa games demo, you can play landscape mode, it's in the games option button wor... but not for Asphalt.

But the scratched on my lense is very bad ah... the whole center of it like different color already. To take pics can see this darker round thinglike shadow but on the pic itself dont have la... sigh. I SERIOUSLY need to but the camera cover spare parts...

I try to make my banner/signature to be clickable... but when I did that the pic didnt come out but the pic link! When mouse over the pic link, it shows the thread link... HELP!!!

Go to connection wizard, it will walk you thru it. Just make sure u know if the email u wanna set is using POP or SMTP and the likes of it. I only have GMail and my WindowLive mail... for gmail just go to the setting, u will find all the related info. For WindowsLive Mail, it comes with the Windows Live Msger I installed.

Or you can also go to Messaging > Settings > E-mail, just walk thru it too, it will ask Qs u need to fill in lor

If you know the things I do with my phone, the last thing someone would think is wasting money on the phone. Haha.
Oh well, I use the GPS function for the sports tracker anyway, it's pretty need to be able to tell how much u're run or cycle or walk or skiing (if u ski, roller blading also can) and how fast etc.

And my firmware is not europe, it's singtel branded firmware, I have English, chinese and malay

Oh, FINALLY my phone can update firmare leh..now the phone is udpdating, see la what extra crap Singtel is giving me, hahah since the phone product code tag to singtel la.

can but also in N95 there is a function, like transfer wizard, to transfer stuff from other nokia phones.

Mine is from Singtel. It's easy, there is an instruction in Maxis website, send SMS method. I did that and just save the setting.
And voila it works like a charm. One thing I realised, no settings configuration in N95, where u can entered manually... either that I dont know where la.

Anyway, I updated my firmware and Singtel added this online interaction thingy, IDEAS LIVE or something... so far no harm done. Just delete that function. The chinese dictionary is gone too...not that I use it, so it's ok.

Only 1 thing, I have installed Sim 2 game, now it doesnt work and I also cant removed it. Sheesh. Will try to just reinstall, hope it will overwrite the corrupted file. Other than that, same only... anyone knows where can i find the change log??

Hmm, the SMS I sent was ok. And my phone line was already 3G and MMS activated last time. You have to give them 1 working day to activate the service tho (if you havent). I remember receiving like 3 (or 2) SMS for the settings, all I did just save it.

On the product code, U can do urself but then the easiest way and if u have RM30 to burn, just go to NCC in Bukit Bintang. I dont think it takes long, but the queueing and waiting is killing.. pigcat should know, he done it before, teehehe... What country does your product code from?

YUP, I can use Maxis easy Acess with my singtel unit it doesnt at first when I got it... there was a review I did but after few days it's there... precisely after I configured my 3G WAP & MMS.

Pickpocketed at a shopping mall some more. I realised afterwards that the distraction was knocking my shopping bags on the floor cos about 2-3 mins after that my phone is GONE.

I hope I can get the same phone back, but dunno when yet lor... I just hope SOON.
