Yea.. HTPC parts! Haha.. No la.. Actually were just grabbed a SC. Soundcard.. Sound Blaster(R) Audigy(tm) 2 ZS.. Plan to make this long life S478 as HTPC when i move to dark side. So now gather the part while i can.

HTPC must equip with a media center remote control or at least get a good wireless mouse and keyboard. for me remote control is more suitable.

2gb for ddr1 is really rare expecially the high performance type. i know ddr2 is cheap but how many of us can use ddr2 on 478?? IMO, its more suitable for s939 than s478.

it was my htpc before. that time i dont have dvd player. haha....

then after that found out the output is quite poor due to normal tv, it for good quality lcd tv then its fine.

now push to my room become my dvd player. wahaha..... just do some lite usage like watch movie, mp3ing, surfing internet and some office work.

me also quite behind. unless i got the cash get the 30" LCD monitor then i may consider put it as HTPC for my living room. see if the lcd price dropping then i may grab 1.

if the price at the reasonable range one day. i can wait. hahaha.....just like last time when lcd just came out, all 4 digit price +. now at rm500+ can get a 17" or even 19" wide screen lcd. so i just wait for another 2 years see what happpen. kekeke

Haha.. Just try to compare see whos speaker is the oldest.

Hm.. Maybe it cause by ur running on 1:1 ratio which both of the processor and ram are running on full speed. Thats why it takes more power. If flunctuated alot then better watchup.

HEhe,right now i use the SATA HDD i can feel the difference already. If running on RAPTOR sure at least 25% better than current one. 10k rpm raptor,i don't see any S478 users here are using it.

Lol.. Was using Vista to reply this thread now. Yup.. For now, Vista is just suitable for normal usage with dark side rigs. Old school like 478 i dont think is suitable. Due some hardware are kinda old, and driver cant be found.

Oh well.. I just install to test out the function. Btw, Vista Ultimate is far different then the home premuim that i always play with in office. The DreamScene function is rock! [b]Can put moving wallpaper instead of solid type.[/]
