Oh yea.. Agree with Kabu's words. Somehow can use own imagination to hide the cable up. Otherwise.. Cable tie did the work. laugh.gif

actually you can do it, just use your imagination. smile.gif i agree with you. but at least you can hide on somewhere like behind the floppy, top/back of psu etc. if use ide cables, try fold it. if cant really hide those power cables, try use cable tie group them together.

some of the them giving quite nice idea like running cables on the mobo. thumbup.gif

Yup,i do hide some part of my cables below my CD-ROM tray. biggrin.gif Else the whole casing will looks like spider web. But inside my casing i don't put front fan to blow in fresh air. I see those holes to bring in fresh air are too small,not much air can blow in. doh.gif That's why i end up just open both side of my casing panels.During play games,i feel the heat from my casing.

his cables are alot better than yours. at least the cacing is at the back, not hanging in the air. smile.gif you can try arrange like his and push all ide cables to the back.

@Deerc
yours quite ok already. just manage a bit on your ide cables. try look for some cable management guide. if i were you, i will fold it and make it "stick" to the back casing. looks better, tidy and not blobking air. what fan you want to add?? rear fan perhaps.

nice g-power you have there. smile.gif

Hahah.. I more poison in guitar's!! lust.gif No money to invest on those high end stuff la. Even wanna own myself an Fender American Vintage 1957 Stratocaster also need to think 3 times. All about K's... shakehead.gif

Hm.. About the key that i'm using now. I not sure about are it OEM or retail type. Anywhere to identify it?

@general_odin
Well.. Even a 0.13Micron chip based proc also can run well. Ray was owning one and i think he is satisfy with the performance. Pengster were owning a proc which are same speed as urs, and he was rocking with it. I dont see any of the S478 user here werent satisfy with their proc.

They are not slow. The slow issues that u faced might caused by other thing. Do a system clean up or format ur system to fresh. U will see hows ur proc perform in a problem free windows. And also, ur ram play the important roll as well. whistling.gif

P/s: Well guys, just a small survey around. Was wander how much can my GC worth for now.. hmm.gif Not to sell la.. Dont get wrong. tongue.gif Just wanna know its current market value.
*
Now damn lazy to push my proc la.push kao kao then BSOD.ahahha too noob adi. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(raymond5105 @ Jan 31 2008, 09:21 AM)
@fylon,edmin and pengster are talking on camera lense which i'm not familiar. happy.gif  I think general_odin's proc is good if it has HT feature. I'm very happy with my current rig,no swaet to handle any applications and gaming.(Never try Crysis before,GC too lausy).

@edmin,your office there still using P4 1.7GHz cpu? That's rocks as you have 768MB of RAM. I've have a 1.7GHz also but it's a S423 with 512MB of RAM.Light application is still good for use but when comes to gaming it will slow a bit.

Yessss. Poison each other to get chunted stuff.haha.but photography is a freaking expensive hobby lah. doh.gif

you can still do lots with s478 rig. so i think this thread is more towards on maximising your old school p4, assisting on tweaking and solving problems that is faced by respective owners. overall, most of the regulars here are still cool with their rig. kudos to everyone that still supports and keep this thread alive.

if there is any parts of s478 that people are willing to give me for free, i would be willing to collect and assemble a HTPC for usage. This is even better than buying external HDD casing that supports multimedia as u can update codecs, the flexibility of a PC. Those that have an unused p4 rig can try this idea of utilising it as an HTPC.

hey guys, i jumped to the amd bandwagon and offloaded my old p4 to my friend. Please kindly remove me from the list.

I know this post may be necessary, but I think its only fair and courteous on my part to inform this community.

P4 was good for its time with me, all these years of northwood and it never failed me (even though the numerous p4 mobos failed me xD)
