we need high investment on watercooling in order to get the good performance and silent. else those highend hfs also can handle the job with a little more noice. to cool down the bridge temp, get good bridge cooler will do.

QUOTE(fylon @ Jan 31 2008, 10:20 AM) @Ray Yup,3.4Ghz is nice to run at stock.I think the max it can go also at 3.8GHz with just little o/c on the FSB. Oh yea.. Guitar series! Bass guitar, lead guitar and rhythm! Oh yea.. I saw someone letting go their P4 3.4Ghz! QUOTE(ekestima @ Jan 31 2008, 10:37 AM) |

@herojack41,the PSU is enough for you to push to 2.2GHz or 2.4GHz easily.Core 2 Duo proc is very good in o/c.

C2D werent that power hunger as P4 does. Should be enough. As ddr2 ram only consume 1.8v to operate. Should be enough. But watch out of ur GC. |

@fylon,i don't know how to play guitar but i like the sound from it.Very nice.
@herojack41, i think if you are using 86GT your PSU still can stand with it.If 8800GT then need better PSU already. |

better check the cpu temp for your 2.4. i have mine running till got mobo alarm sound beeping running on stock due to too hot. around 70C. so check properly the temp. if over 55C then you have to find solution to cool it down. |

55C is on the save side. if like your case always running at 55C+ is definitely not healthy. i always want to maintain the cpu temp below 55C no matter how. |

Check ur thermal paste contact. Might be it get dried and cant transfer heat. And also, clean ur heatsink. Most of the time the dust stick to it and make the cold air cant pass true the sink fin to blow away the hot air. Well.. Play safe! Dont let ur proc temp go over 45'c if can.. 55'c is on caution state already. |
