I do not like pets (dogs/cats/whatever) in shopping malls either. You can keep your pets at home. If you bring them out please make sure you do not inconvenience others. Clean up after them.

I say pet-friendly mall is just like a non-halal section of supermarkets.

There are no signs saying Muslims prohibited, but the fact that it says non-halal section already means Muslims has no business there.

I was a pet owner for nearly 2 decades. My pet passed away last year from old age. Yes my maid handled my pet all along, no she does not mind, she loved her as much as anyone in my family.

Think of it this way. You and your family love your pet, your pet loves you.  That's fine. The thing is, other people do not. Especially when it intrudes into their private spaces. The smell, the hair, the pet itself. Others accepting it is them being gracious. Expecting others to accept that is being obnoxious.

There are places I never bring my pet to: restaurants/eating places, enclosed air conditioned places, outdoor events with many people, other people's houses. Anywhere it might make others uncomfortable. I have never understood those who treat their pets like their sons/daughters, carrying them around like little babies. You might be fine with that, but that is not for me, sorry.

I don't think you get the point. If you don't like to eat together with pets, then don't go to pet friendly restaurant. That place is for those who want to eat with pets. You are the one that expect others to accept your view. It's no different than walk into a pub and complain why so many drunk people there. Plain stupidity.

Just go to malls that don't allow pets lor... which is most of the malls anyway.

Let those people who want to bring their pets out to a mall do so in a mall designed and marketed to them. At least this way they won't go bring their pet in a mall they're not supposed to right.

I have a dog but we don't eat together. I also never go to any pet friendly restaurants. But I don't have problem with people bringing their pets to pet friendly restaurants/malls/parks.

I dont have any problem with those people also, but I do see the problem that could happen unless they come up with a guideline that define which pets are allowed.

Huh? Admit what? That pets are dirty?

If people wanna eat with dirty pets in a pet friendly restaurant, who am I to stop them? If people wanna drink alcohol that's bad for their body in a pub, who am I to stop them?
