Buying insurance for many years and 6 years has lapsed. My agent never served me even need to claim something. Always said forgot and I need to claim myself through their office.

If this is case, what is the purpose to have agent to earn the commission? When I told the company, they said they can't do anything or interference to the agent. He or she wants to serve you or no, their punya pasal.

from now on, if i wanna add on insurance plan, i will look for self-service only.

If youngster one, lagi charm.. you support them and may be after 2 years, i sudah tak kerja liao and the co assigns another agent who you dont know one.

I think their commission works until 6-7years. That's why u only hear from them after that. Ask u to upgrade , say hospitalisation more expensive la this la that la.

It's the same around the world. Agency model and banca are still insurance companies biggest source of customers. Online portal biz are still very low because insurance are usually tailor made to individuals. You can't sell a generic products online only.

By right, insurance agents role is important because they are supposed to explain everything to customers. If they really do their jobs, there won't be so many misunderstanding about policies and why some claims are rejected. To be fair, not all agents are like that and sometimes customers themselves don't want to listen to their explanation

If want to find need to find those that are doing full time. You really want good agents, then go to whichever hospital you prefer and approach any agent you see there. Chances are you will find someone who can jaga you nicely kek.
