so you're left with like 5-10 years of "work-free" life to so called "live your live to the max", when you're at the point of greatly diminished physical and mental capacity lol.

Yes. Retire peacefully sitting on a wheelchair or lying on a hospital bed is entirely your choice..

Aint nobody will retire peacefully in this economy, prob will work until drop. Hell maybe in another couple of years this so call "fake ai" will replace us all

I think many of us do not have a plan after retirement. We just drift along aimlessly. Initially we go travelling etc but soon all that became mundane. I have exceeded retirement age and are now semi…still wondering what to do with my time when I fully retire. Have some ideas but not certain if I can stay active or not. Physically and medically fit though.
