Sabah polls: 8 implicated in mining scandal retain seats 🤣SABAH POLLS | The Sabah state election yesterday saw eight out of 10 candidates implicated in an alleged corruption scandal involving businessperson Albert Tei emerging victorious. These included seven who contributed to Gabungan Rakyat Sabah's (GRS) 29 seats that allowed the coalition to cement its hold on the land below the wind, and one from a former GRS component party, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star). https://m.malaysiakini.com/news/762172

If PN wins the next ge, he’ll probably turn into a prosecution witness, just like Datuk Zarul Ahmad. PN stands a stronger chance now especially if the Chinese votes swing their way. At least Muh didn’t try to control the judiciary, he was just playing around with the DNAA. Unlike ai, who’s making appointments not based on experience or seniority !

But when you try to control things by appointing your own macai, not based on experience or seniority, it can seriously affect justice !

QUOTE(ipohps3 @ Nov 30 2025, 09:04 PM) the cj already appointed according to seniority, no? and yet again you avoided the other question. QUOTE AI: Short answer: **no, he wasn’t picked based on seniority.**
Wan Ahmad Farid was a *Court of Appeal* judge and relatively junior in the hierarchy when he was appointed Chief Justice in July 2025. Reports note that he ranked far lower than others in terms of seniority, and was elevated over more senior Federal Court judges and other Court of Appeal judges.
Constitutional experts and news coverage also explicitly said that **seniority is not a requirement** for the CJ post and that his appointment is an example of that — the system allows “leap-frogging” where a less senior judge can be promoted straight to CJ.
So if your question is literally:
> Is the current Malaysian CJ there *because of* seniority?
Then: **No — his appointment clearly went against the usual seniority expectation.** Although karma is untrue, but rocket deserves to lose all seats ! This post has been edited by Schumacher: Nov 30 2025, 09:07 PM

QUOTE(danielmckey @ Nov 30 2025, 09:56 PM) I wonder if he so rich, why not to be like Jholo. Anyway, he is not an honest businessman, always using dirty trick and back door. QUOTE G. Gnanaraja Datuk Seri G. Gnanaraja is a Malaysian businessman and the key prosecution witness in Lim Guan Eng's ongoing corruption trial. Allegations: Gnanaraja has testified in court that he acted as a "middleman," setting up a company and a bank account at Lim's alleged request to facilitate bribe payments related to the RM6.3 billion project. He claims to have personally handed Lim RM2 million in cash. Albert is actually similar to this guy, but he’s much more daring maybe because he has his atuk’s support.
