Said this time & time again. Do NOT bring Semenanjung brand of politics to appeal to Borneo folks, they're not the same.

I think the worst attitude Semenanjung parties have when entering S&S is that they act like *THEY* are the only one who can save S&S from themselves.

From the recent election, we know one thing:

CORRUPTION DOESN'T MATTER TO SABAHANS.

If it did, GRS would have won zero seats last night, but they didn't.

Again, the main factor for PH's losses is local sentiment.

They see Semenanjung as the BIG BAD WOLF when the real wolves are right in front of them, and they chose to be oblivious about it.
*
Haha tell that to dua kali lima PM aide.
Both also corrupted so they just chose orang kita.
Refusing to see how much blow the recent scandal had tainted PH will bring to their own downfall.
For good or bad, it is a wake up call

What is there to analyze
Sabah prefer own people, own way of politics, and don't care about corruption just like any other normal semenanjung people.

Warisan replacing PH is a big achievement already and they did that just in 3 years since DAP attained over 94% of type C vote.
*
Now warisan will face the same brick wall as dap

Once you're the urban party, say goodbye to having chance to make inroads into rural native areas

Warisan was supposed to do that but instead they choose the easy way and jus keep attacking DAP in urban areas

All I'll say is good luck

Can't wait for the next election. Most likely gonna be a rojak outcome. All become government. I would rather vote a bebas candidate over any parties.

So, why GRS won, and why Warisan fall short? Also why DAP lose all?

Ketat2 yg bijaksana, please share your thoughts.

I think, urban areas support Warisan for change, while rural areas remain unconvinced. General sentiment in rural areas is that revolution will not benefit them. Better take what is given to them without big hope, not asking much unrealistically.

Warisan also appeared to support pilaks, makes them less popular w native Sabahans.

Upko captured 3 seats, up from previous 1 seat? It means the 40% theme is more relevant to Sabahans, not corruption topics.

DAP appeared aggressive in their stance, made some remarks look unpleasant n disconnected w grassroots. Was their campaigns more about corruption? If true, they haven't learn their lessons in semenanjung. Corruption topics won't win them votes.

PIS contest 72 seats, gets zero. Why??

Generally, Sabahans more concern w Sabah's rights n benefits. Bribery, corruption, songlap won't work.
*
Uh.... they won one.

Certainly no

On popular votes count

GRS and warisan are closely tight (both 18k+)

GRS only won because of gabungan

I forsee the next GE, with even stronger S4S sentiment and traction by warisan, warisan can outvote GRS.

PH cannot always campaign with Corruption topics. For people in semi urban/rural areas, you have to get the basic rights, clean water, electricity, good roads, cost of living.
They have seen how PH champian all kind of reform when in the opposition, but do the opposite when they are in power.
*
That is true. Banking on corruption topic is not going to make a change on the ground.

To be fair, PH does bring about reforms at the top level. It takes time to make full reforms, and it takes time for all the benefits to be felt on the ground.

PH is Malaysia's best shot. None other can give that.

QUOTE(icemanfx @ Nov 30 2025, 12:22 PM)
BMX is Gaza first, mys second, doesn't deserve a second term.

Pm and political party can comes and goes, people and country live on.
*
Too much priority is given to attract M votes will not resonate well w S&S too. BMX should look at S&S seriously and carry himself appropriately in public n formulating policy

QUOTE(30624770 @ Nov 30 2025, 12:29 PM)
State elections are a different ball game from parliament elections

Chinese always like to remind the people representing them to not take their support for granted

If you have Selangor state elections today and no Parliament election, I can bet that DAP will lose a few of their seats too

However, when it comes to Parliament seats, it's a different story altogether
*
Ditching DAP completely also mean they completely lose their voices n representation in state gov. How is that wise? Too extreme is helping

To be honest, PH n DAP are the ones that can truly help them. Warisan need PH. Else, they will never win.

Warisan's only way to win is work w DAP n PH while they focus on targeted rural areas n the right alliance

GRS only won because they teamed up with PH? If they hadn't given PH those 22 seats, they probably would've easily gotten a simple majority by themselves. If PH isn't in the federal government, their alliance might have broken up already

Many of my plant workers say the same. It is a religious duty to vote PuAS hati. Say rely on us liao to keep PH up so that we don't regress into Afghanistan.

Wtf!

Voting for incompetent party that doesn't help the people n nation should be a sinful act!
