So, why GRS won, and why Warisan fall short? Also why DAP lose all?

Ketat2 yg bijaksana, please share your thoughts.

I think, urban areas support Warisan for change, while rural areas remain unconvinced. General sentiment in rural areas is that revolution will not benefit them. Better take what is given to them without big hope, not asking much unrealistically.

Warisan also appeared to support pilaks, makes them less popular w native Sabahans.

Upko captured 3 seats, up from previous 1 seat? It means the 40% theme is more relevant to Sabahans, not corruption topics.

DAP appeared aggressive in their stance, made some remarks look unpleasant n disconnected w grassroots. Was their campaigns more about corruption? If true, they haven't learn their lessons in semenanjung. Corruption topics won't win them votes.

PIS contest 72 seats, gets zero. Why??

Generally, Sabahans more concern w Sabah's rights n benefits. Bribery, corruption, songlap won't work.

just want to address the C part

C rather vote to become opposition that can only bark but nobody listens as you have no power here. this is to ride the moral high ground and remain principled, vocal to voice out as opposition that is without responsibility (until pigs can fly) which suits ktards also, complaining day in day out here. (check back GE13 results, 0 MCA representative, need senatorship aka backdoor to become minister)

C is so offended and cannot accept the fact that C can only vote who can be a better lapdog in government with power to enact changes, albeit slowly. this is due to thier declining number and diminishing political influence and not willing to pump the numbers up.

C also impatient and get bored with the same party eventhough the elected representative got do good job in their kawasan. so want try out new party that will become a lapdog in government eventually.

so now is C vs C whether to vote for DAP

Warisan replacing PH is a big achievement already and they did that just in 3 years since DAP attained over 94% of type C vote.

PH cannot always campaign with Corruption topics. For people in semi urban/rural areas, you have to get the basic rights, clean water, electricity, good roads, cost of living.
They have seen how PH champian all kind of reform when in the opposition, but do the opposite when they are in power.

Last time before 2018 vote for opposition(Pakatan Rakyat) still ok je, Najib still friendly to nons.

Now every politician including DAP themselves know they no need to appease nons anymore. Whether they in government or opposition they will not fight for their own supporters

State elections are a different ball game from parliament elections

Chinese always like to remind the people representing them to not take their support for granted

If you have Selangor state elections today and no Parliament election, I can bet that DAP will lose a few of their seats too

However, when it comes to Parliament seats, it's a different story altogether

From the recent election, we know one thing:

CORRUPTION DOESN'T MATTER TO SABAHANS.

If it did, GRS would have won zero seats last night, but they didn't.

Again, the main factor for PH's losses is local sentiment.

They see Semenanjung as the BIG BAD WOLF when the real wolves are right in front of them, and they chose to be oblivious about it.

DAP supporters already ok with songlap anyway like Komedi and GRS. Might as well support Najib return at least he is moderate and has proven record of resisting PuAS.

Nah local sentiment isn't the main factor. Most nons just pissed on DAP and PH who take their vote for granted.

In Sabah they can't play the green wave narrative and Warisan is a viable alternative so this work. In Peninsula nons will still jilat DAP and BMX because PuAS has strong precense and nons has no other alternative. Unless some 3rd party who champion progressiveness magically appear and able to setup cabang all over the peninsula
