No country have an issue if china wants to reunite with Taiwan through peaceful means. The pre-requisite for Japan to enter the 'war' is when china uses force. Simply don't use force.

You do know that China's stand is they will only go to war if Taiwan declare independence. That is the line they will not let Taiwan cross. Japan openly saying they will defend Taiwan is basically challenging one China policy and encouraging Taiwan's independence. Worse of all is Japan has a very bad reputation because of WW2.
