QUOTE(deejay_krish @ Nov 28 2025, 08:34 AM) I dont understand 1 thing. Why is everybody so shocked like this never happened before in malaysia? The same shit happens every end of the year coz MET updates are slow as fuarkIt was a big deal when it hit Indo and affected Thai. Already downgraded day before yesterday but MET and reporters still calling it Tropical Storm. Only today when it landed MET say it has downgraded. QUOTE(seriosekitt3h @ Nov 28 2025, 10:47 AM) I used to work in MetMalaysia for 10 years Forecast correct but dont update ppl properly. No use laand I personally know the Timbalan Pengarah, which is a Sarawakian. He was just a senior forecaster back then and he always got like 98% prediction right FUN FACT: The event where a row of aligned thunderstorms in the Malacca Straits is called THE SUMATRANS, usually occurs in the morning. |

No use la You just too lazy to read the website, this is not COVID where the KP is on TV every 5PM to announce something When I was there, I read the forecast every 9am to the local radio station, now RTM show live at 9am from our main forecast office of the latest update Why 9am? Because we update on 0000UTC (8am) This post has been edited by seriosekitt3h: Yesterday, 07:01 PM |

QUOTE(Szzz @ Nov 28 2025, 07:51 PM) i follow met website, met fb, met twitter, met insta. Let me tell you something you shithead does not knowShow me the updates, tracking status etc. None. Only updated when it landed. Meanwhile other sources already know it downgraded to Tropical Depression 1 day ago. All my info i get is from 3rd party websites. They update me better than the govt. You think we forecast based on those thermometers on the ground issit? First, we use weather balloon to track UPPER AIR data. we launch those balloons WORLDWIDE at 0000 and 1200 UTC which is 8am and 8pm our time. Those weather balloons costs RM800 per launch including the radiosonde. In order to read the regional weather, UPPER AIR data is needed to collect wind speed, direction, temperature and pressure. The RAW DATA transmitted to the receiver on the ground so PEOPLE LIKE ME can transcribe and make a report to be sent to WMO SO every forecaster in the world can use the data to predict the weather. If you want fast update, you need to understand the whole world updates their DATA every 12 hours UNLESS they have more advance technology like LIDAR or tracking planes and shit, which we don't have and we don't need. OUR FUCKING WEATHER IS CONSTANT every day. So it is acceptable for the KP of MEtMAlaysia to update carefully every 12 hours or so, if he finds that the tropical thunderstorm is legitimate or not. Now we know, the SENYAR is died down. WHICH IS THE CORRECT PREDICTION TROPICAL CYCLONE/HURRICANE/TYPHOON rarely or never crosses the equator which where we live. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by seriosekitt3h: Yesterday, 08:23 PM daniel_lyw liked this post

The fact that OSINT data tracking is more reliable than MET info given. Various weather website already show the intensity slowing down ONE DAY in advance, yet MET is still calling press conference and do scaremonger tactics while still calling it a tropical storm. The replies in /k already shows you how wrong MET handled it. Next time an actual big one happens, nobody gonna listen to MET's warning. |

QUOTE(seriosekitt3h @ Nov 29 2025, 12:03 AM) wow, a smart ass talking from his ass without giving any facts to deny my argument You bring nothing to the discussion table. Nobody arguing how you get your data, it's your slow ass work and communication.so looking at OSINT makes you a qualified Meteorologist? YOU CNA ASS? QUOTE TRY guessing where OSINT gets their DATA from? Yet they are faster than you in updates, I wonder why. Maybe less 3 hour lunch breaks and more work will help QUOTE LEMME GET IT STRAIGHT, AN ARMCHAIR METEOROLOGIST? TYPICAL CINA Suddenly, race baiting. Dunno how to argue until bring race into the mix. QUOTE(seriosekitt3h @ Nov 29 2025, 12:25 AM) Lol, typical. then explain to me how is OSINT faster than you, I'm not talking 30minutes faster, I'm talking half-one day fasterWMO standardized observations time for METAR/SYNOP for all over the world. Try asking them to update every minute. I've explained to you the way data was obtained with actual proof and inside knowledge you presented nothing other than your keyboard armchair Now you try to blame the gomen workers in Met because they are Malay typical Cina, playing victim card you are just trolling at this point bringing up race even more, final reply This post has been edited by Szzz: Today, 01:01 AM adamw liked this post
