I know its just looks like raining to us, but officially its a tropical storm.

I used to work in MetMalaysia for 10 years
and I personally know the Timbalan Pengarah, which is a Sarawakian.
He was just a senior forecaster back then and he always got like 98% prediction right

The event where a row of aligned thunderstorms in the Malacca Straits is called THE SUMATRANS,
usually occurs in the morning.

kl people only care kl, other place flood or people died, zero care say storm was nothing.
