KUALA LUMPUR - Seorang lelaki yang memandu sebuah kenderaan utiliti sukan (SUV) secara berbahaya di Lebuhraya Sungai Besi di sini pada Sabtu telah ditahan kerana positif dadah.

Ketua Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik Kuala Lumpur, Asisten Komisioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa berkata, hasil ujian urin ke atas lelaki itu didapati positif dadah jenis ketamin, methamphetamine dan amphetamine.

“Lelaki berusia 32 tahun itu kini ditahan di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Dang Wangi,” katanya dalam kenyataan pada Ahad.

Pada Ahad, media melaporkan lelaki itu memberi alasan tindakannya memandu secara berbahaya berpunca daripada tayar pecah selepas terlanggar lubang dan memandangkan kediamannya dekat, dia meneruskan perjalanan untuk pulang ke rumah.

Mohd Zamzuri dilaporkan berkata, pihaknya terkesan video berdurasi satu minit yang dimuat naik di media sosial pada Sabtu, memaparkan kenderaan jenis Range Rover Velar itu dipandu dalam keadaan berbahaya menghala ke arah Taman Naga Emas.

Kenderaan berkenaan dikesan bergerak dengan tayar belakang sebelah kanan dalam keadaan pecah serta hancur dan terus bergerak di atas jalan pada jam 8 pagi.

Perbuatan berbahaya pemandu itu turut dirakam seorang penunggang motosikal, sebelum kenderaan itu berhenti di kawasan persimpangan lampu isyarat di Jalan Kuchai Maju.

Pemandu kenderaan itu telah tampil ke Balai Polis Trafik Kuala Lumpur pada jam 10.30 pagi Ahad.

Kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 42(1) Akta Pengangkutan Jalan 1987 kerana memandu secara melulu dan berbahaya.

Saksi yang melihat kejadian itu diminta menghubungi Balai Polis Trafik Tun H.S. Lee di talian 03-2071 9999 atau mana-mana balai polis berhampiran bagi membantu siasatan.
