This year end those who plan holiday at hatyai can change plan. Hatyai town is devasted. They require at least 3 to4 month to recover from the damage.

Based from thie tweet, waters have stabilised. Hope the water recedes and the cleanup can begin.
QUOTE
Hat Yai, Songkhla – Floodwaters from Sadao district have reached Hat Yai municipality, but water levels are now stabilizing, officials reported today (November 25). Authorities warn levels could rise if heavy rain hits the U-Tapao watershed and surrounding areas.

In the past 24 hours, the heaviest rainfall in southern Thailand was recorded in Thung Yang Daeng (Pattani) – 634 mm, Rattaphum (Songkhla) – 538 mm, and Mueang Yala (Yala) – 504.8 mm.

The Royal Irrigation Department is monitoring the situation around the clock, coordinating with other agencies, and helping residents trapped in flooded homes. Food and drinking water are being distributed continuously. Once waters recede, authorities will pump and drain low-lying areas to minimize damage.

Yes but for those not on those rescue trucks, if yesterday already had tomyam seafood flavoured one, maybe today can try their tomyam chicken variant..

This time is the most severe deluge.

Thailand’s Hat Yai declared a disaster zone as it experiences the most severe deluge in 300 years.

Recent severe flooding in Hat Yai is yet another wake-up call that Thailand remains unprepared to cope with climate change. This is not the first time the South has been devastated – similar floods struck Hat Yai in 2000 and 2010, and other regions have suffered from extreme weather.
