The stupidity in you is you find which inexperience lawyer to represent you during trial stage? But to be honest teh poh teik rarely conduct trial. Mostly only handle appeal. But you will be suprised mostly on appeal your conviction will be overturned if the counsel knows how to argue on the main point. Just concentrate on one/two point more than suffice

Why blame the accused and not the lawyer? The trial judge said the police report was an afterthought during the defense stage but come on, the lawyer didn’t even question the witness about it during the prosecution stage. Then the judge turns around and says the defense is weak.
And what about the IC? It was lost long ago. How can that be called an afterthought? The lawyer should’ve grilled the witness ask why the police didn’t get the CCTV footage, why they didn’t trace the phone number registration, or call the 7 Eleven staff to testify. That’s basic stuff. An experienced lawyer would’ve easily poked holes in the case.
So here’s my advice, if you can afford it, get the best lawyer you can for the trial. At the very least, make sure they’re experienced. Don’t wait until the appeal stage as it’s usually too late by then.
Which part I blame accused? I said the stupidity in you why hire inexperience lawyer in the first place? Tonnes of smart lawyer around you. Here alot just you never realise🫢😂🤣
Yes. A(2) baru susah bail. Your case masih rayuan ka?

Paul Yong only got Hisham Teh at the final stage, but by then it was already too late.
A lot of people make this mistake as thinking that saving the best lawyer for the appeal will help. But the truth is, you need your best or at least an experienced lawyer right from the first court.
If things go wrong there, it's hard to fix later. Appeal judges often say they won’t interfere with the trial judge’s assessment of witness credibility. Unless you get a really good appeal judge like in the Joe Mamak molest case, it’s tough to turn things around.
. So, Lam Chang Nam's appeal against his conviction (= RM7k fine) for attempting to extort RM30k from Ps.Koh's son in 2017, gonna jialat lor.? If so, he will not be able to practice as lawyer liao, even though he graduated from UM in 2024. .

It's really hard to find info, looks like China Press isn't bluffing. If they managed to keep the news this tight, it probably means the IO isn’t leaking anything to the media. Datuk Shazeli is Ketua Polis Selangor.

Now it’s really down to luck whether can get appeal judges with a strong sense of conscience or not. At the Court of Appeal, they don’t deal with questions of fact anymore. They only look at questions of law. But how would normal people even know that?
If the first step goes wrong (trial stage), then like people say, really "jialat".
That’s why the trial stage is so critical. Once you’re at the appeal level, your options are limited and the damage is often already done.
Lawyers wont tell you all these as they want your money only.
