QUOTE(cklimm @ Feb 4 2017, 01:04 PM) Well, thats the only bank with constant 4% online promo; Heard from my RM few years back that need to maintain 50k for PB status of HLB. Anyway because of their promo, I have not breached that figure yet.not imposing charges for balance below threshold; decent lounge, coffee and eye candy But, but, I cannot imagine u breaching that figure vs the FD cert that was shown before ! Have not went inside HLB's Penang PB centre. But PB centre wise, for Penang one still OCBC best. Best interns of decoration and .................. as u said, eye candy ! QUOTE(gchowyh @ Feb 6 2017, 11:39 AM) Wa, you're a real veteran! OCBC Penang PB centre really nice in terms of decorations. Mostly ladies handling transactions. Young sweet ones causing uncles to For OCBC in PJ, the last time I went there, the tellers all changed to males so I didn't bother going thru the hassle to put funds there unless & until there is a very irresistible promo. |

Attended CB's Citigold event at E&O Hotel with buffet dinner thrown in. Dinner not bad especially with E&O Hotel's standard. About 170 invited. Told by RM some has requested but unable to squeeze in.
Mainly uncle and aunties there. The speakers addressed datuk/datin's at beginning of speech. In the car park paying tickets lots of Merc and high end cars. |

QUOTE(chrisoth80 @ Mar 10 2017, 10:06 PM) RHB organized their CNY appreciation dinner 2017 for their premier banking customers at E&O as well. Not sure if Penang RHB organized similar events. Did not receive any invite on this. Did you attend the RHB event also? I attended the one in KL and attendees are mostly uncle and aunties also who are regular invites for these kinda event. The rest are pretty much the same got feng shui talk, financial talk, spin and win activities, calligraphy, lucky draw and photobooth session But I have avoided this type of events before. SCB Penang organized food and wine tasting event about 2 years ago. But I declined. In the Citigold event, some prominent people was there as well. Met some previous colleagues. QUOTE(cactive @ Mar 30 2017, 11:34 PM) previously citibank increased the total AUM to 350k from 200k Ya they now implemented this recently. I heard that is because minimum for Citigold is US$100k (worldwide or some countries ??). So increased from RM350k 1 year ago to this year RM400k due to u know the reason la. But >15 years ago until just 2 years ago, RM200k. So now other than UOB which is RM500k, I think Citigold is the next highest AUM for PB. that time i remembered it applied to new clients only. Now they increase to 400k and it is mandatory for new/existing citigold clients... else they shift u under citi priority Haiz.. And they enforced the 400k to existing Citigold old and new customer. QUOTE(rjb123 @ Mar 31 2017, 08:26 PM) I don't really see Citigold being any better than other Priority banking services to demand a higher AUM. Citigold customer can get free Platinum card, now changed to Reward card. So u joined Citigold and took months to get the credit card ? At least HSBC Premier immediately issue a credit card without having to suit anything - Citibank it took me multiple applications and a couple of months! I have been making use of Citibank's good TT rate to my advantage. But I have been with Citigold for >12 years. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Mar 31 2017, 10:20 PM) Citibank USA and Citibank IPB increased the AUM for CitiGold from USD100,000 to USD200,000 last year. Citibank Hong Kong also increased the AUM for Citibank Hong Kong CitiGold AUM to HKD1.5 million (RM855,000). The best selling point about Citibank CitiGold Global Transfer and HSBC Premier Global Transfer is that both are fee free and it is all done in real time (on a banking day). And for HSBC Hong Kong, as a Premier customer you can order foreign currency banknotes online and collect the money at your selected branch. This service is provided free for HSBC Hong Kong Premier customers. U are very knowledgeable on banking related topics ! So in the future, CB may increase Citigold limit to US$200k ? That will be interesting. QUOTE(rjb123 @ Mar 31 2017, 11:42 PM) Yes, Citigold Ya, if one is qualified it should not take a long time to get the cards.I'd have thought with having a qualifying deposit and pledged FD it'd be a quick and easy procedure - never had this problem with Maybank or HSBC for example. Anyway not a big deal, just something I'd expect to be quite hasslefree. But I do find Citibank's efficiency is not as good as years ago. They used to pride themselves on their OTC efficiency. But nowadays not that efficient anymore. |

QUOTE(rjb123 @ Apr 7 2017, 03:47 PM) I got a gift this year from Maybank PW, but was for a men's spa/facial thing which I have 0 interest in. Couldn't be transferred either so that went in the bin! Among the PB gifts I think I like the UOB plaque and BR's gold plated coin:This post has been edited by bbgoat: Apr 7 2017, 04:01 PM |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Apr 7 2017, 03:10 PM) This event not bad. Saw some leng lui attending the function. CIMB said they are holding 10 of this events and the Penang one is number 4th. Got 7 lucky draws. Top price Sony 40" Internet TV. Did not get anything. Only got door gift of a CIMB Preferred bag with multi coloured Post-It note pad, desk pen/items holder. Refreshment and buffect lunch not bad. Citigold no door gift. Overall I think CIMB event is more well organized and better info given. This post has been edited by bbgoat: Apr 8 2017, 05:43 PM |

QUOTE(Icona Pop @ Apr 11 2017, 11:32 AM) Ipoh one this week.some kind of cimb preferred even but macam limited to 250 ppl only.. and held in the evening not morning. Penang one big crowd. Should be >300. The morning one stretched for about 4 hrs including morning refreshments. Citigold's one recently held in the evening. Both of them used E&O Hotel. |
