QUOTE(incognitroll @ Sep 12 2025, 01:19 AM) i still remember those long queues outside the apple store in japan — back then, the msrp there was cheaper than in china. this time, china’s msrp is a bit lower, but buying in japan is still worth it since tourists get a 10% tax rebate. that works out to around 50 dollars, or about 350 yuan in savings. Save $50 for a phone that cannot silent the shutter sound? Nahhh

QUOTE(ipohps3 @ Sep 11 2025, 10:36 PM) iPhone 17 Reservations in China Surge to 5 Million on One Retailer • Reservations for the iPhone 17 in China have reached an impressive 5 million, according to a tipster, with the figure coming from just one online retailer. • This surge in interest suggests strong consumer confidence in the iPhone 17's design changes, features, and upgrades. • The starting price for the iPhone 17 in China is slightly higher than in the U.S., but includes increased base storage and a ProMotion display. • The popularity of the iPhone 17 may pose a challenge to competitors like Samsung, whose Galaxy S26 launch in China could be impacted. https://wccftech.com/iphone-17-reservations...sses-5-million/underground waste oil also recycled and sold widely ....so????
