iPhone 17 Reservations in China Surge to 5 Million on One Retailer • Reservations for the iPhone 17 in China have reached an impressive 5 million, according to a tipster, with the figure coming from just one online retailer. • This surge in interest suggests strong consumer confidence in the iPhone 17's design changes, features, and upgrades. • The starting price for the iPhone 17 in China is slightly higher than in the U.S., but includes increased base storage and a ProMotion display. • The popularity of the iPhone 17 may pose a challenge to competitors like Samsung, whose Galaxy S26 launch in China could be impacted. https://wccftech.com/iphone-17-reservations...sses-5-million/

Half of that figure would be scalpers. Syndicates there takes scalping to the very next level. In short, every shit not smelly can be scalped in Chyna land.

apple selling well in china because those online retailers really throw price and discounts once iphone no more hot in the market. just wait a few months buy the low end and bring to some phone shop and they can modify your storage size

i still remember those long queues outside the apple store in japan — back then, the msrp there was cheaper than in china. this time, china’s msrp is a bit lower, but buying in japan is still worth it since tourists get a 10% tax rebate. that works out to around 50 dollars, or about 350 yuan in savings.
