Claimant must have a comprehensive policy.

The other car must have at least a third party coverage which is the minimum coverage for a motor vehicle to be on the road.

Yeah, I am aware claimant needs to have comprehensive policy. Just that I thought I read that to claim from the other car, the other car also must have comprehensive policy (yeah, it does not quite make sense).

As for filing a civil claim, our insurance friend says that is always an option, except it costs time and money, plus finding a competent lawyer to take on the case. “If you have the time and the money to spend, great,” says our buddy, “if not, just claim against your policy and be done with it.”

last month, we kena knocked by some lorry driver who opened his door too damn wide on the roadside while we stopped at the red traffic light. Filed police report with details and everything, then polis updated and said the lorry driver didn't report anything and did jack shit. After consulting with insurance, he wrote a statutory declaration of the incident.

ikut google AI:

QUOTE
A Statutory Declaration (SD) for motor insurance, typically required when claiming against a third party, is a written statement of facts you've signed under oath, confirming the circumstances of an accident, especially if the other party hasn't filed a police report. It serves as a declaration that the information you provide to your insurer is true. You'll need to include personal details, NRIC number, and a description of the accident, and then submit this along with a police report, your driving license, vehicle documents, and photos to your insurer to proceed with the claim, according to blog.poi2u.com.
the insurance company will then pursue on your behalf. that's all i know anyway.

Then it's your sarjan lazy tak nak buat kerja.

I once involved with car accident when i entered the room with sarjan, he even promote his part time side business sell gold to get comm at Kepong branch
and also brag to me he is going to finish his house loan this year in his 40s.

You can always go back to balai and ask for another solution.

But for most of the time, i wouldnt say 100%, but most of the rear bumper case, for sure rear car fault one lar because dont have safe distance.

Nope, I encountered the same issue long time ago but still can claim insurance without affecting my NCD.

Based on my case, my insurance company asked me to get the oath certificate in order to replace the 3rd party police report.
