i'm bitter with my colleague until i dont know where to vent already

since i dont gossip with kakak office about workplace politics, i decided to vent here


my workload is terrible, dont know how many weekends i've work this year, every week got few days where need to work nights
my boss acknowledged my burden, so 1 and half years ago he hired this lady to work with me. and in terms of position, she's higher rank than me
i teach her everything, guide her, help her. whatever she needs

now 1 and half years later, my work burden doesnt ease. terrible as before.
meanwhile she? jalan2 in office doing nothing, every month take annual leaves dont know go where. in every meeting i was held accountable (remember her rank is higher than me)

i decided to vent to my big boss about it. beh tahan this workload.
boss say give her time. and he cite me as example - need time to get familiar
but 1 year and half has passed already. still need to get familiar? i myself dont need 1 and half year to get familiar


last month my promotion got blocked. fak me i'm angry to the moon!!
this is on top of my increment kena cut last December

my performance report was excellent for the past 3 years. yet my increment got cut, my promotion got blocked

i'm bitter as hell since this weekend tomorrow will likely have to work again.

3 years in same company gives you to good mileage and demand for new application. you should try consulting, everything is not permanent , work on project, finish walk out. no need to deal with BS people.

At the moment, you only can avoid from direct Face to Face conflict with her.
Play along the game and hold longer in your position if you can't get any better offer.
Remain yourself in your boss game plan, that's important compare with any unfairness which you facing nw(since you don't have better option).

These days usually people with higher rank would push most if not all of the jobs to the person rank below them.

Just a matter of time until time bomb ticks off.

company was doing super well. order intake reached record level for few years already
because of this, the company is paying too many bonuses and rewards to the employees until exceeded budget.

This dumb reason made me speechless already 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway if you have a lot of financial commitments right now, u really need to suck it up. But if u can't take this kinda workload n favouritism anymore, just quit n work for another company that pays less than what u're earning now.

At the end of the day, u'll have to decide which one matters to u more.. Work life balance or money?

- your lady boss is fking your big boss
- you are the scapegoat and work horse for your lady boss
- increment all give to the lady boss for being willing to get f by your big boss

She is higher? That means she checks your work?

Yes but if replacement doesn't come in time they will have problem. You might able to leverage this.
Anyway if you are not happy with it why force yourself to stay?

Since performance good but promotion blocked and no increment, then just take your leisure time and work at pace you like.

stop meroyan and just do your job.

also if load too heavy, delegate to your team and start to miss deadlines.
if your boss want to diu u, just let him and remind him about his FUBU
maybe he can hire another guy to help, so he got more time with FUBU.

the art here is to slow down job slowly, not immediately. miss deadlines here and there, request for extensions.
ask ur team to do more, train them.

You know what I did, going AWOL. Aftermath, a year later all supporting team on all frontline no exceptions, transfer to hq.
They want any help, fill the form and wait for turn. Now what happens ? they burden their staff with job outside their portfolio, equipment broken B4 warranty end. Their kpi drop. The list is going on.
Me going AWOL was breaking point for all that happen.
And the 'u were right ' is written all over their face.

Before this. The 3rd last job, same as u, got helping hand, but wonder round doing nothing, karma hit by her Moto accident with deep scars all over her face. No amount of make up can cover up. Oh got broken bone also.

Since no increment and no promotion. Dun work extra. Start on time and finish on time. Go home on time. Dun work on weekends.

Let the work pile a bit, since they dun reward you so why bother. Unless u worried u no job then continue to do as you do.

I got a friend just like this. Work like crazy dog. No increment and no promotion. Complain but still do the same because worry no job and dun want to find job outside because in comfort zone. Stress but dare not burst the bubble.

When u end up in hospital. No one will visit you. At best send u flowers then give u fruit basket when u return to office.
