I think the issue is not paying more. It is the taxation. Previously as opposition , they were so against taxation and says Petronas can handle, they stop corruption can pay a lot, etc etc. now they are governing, they are doing things that they were against in first place or unable to show that corruption is not rampant ie money is not flowing into the government coffers from supposedly less or zero corruption. Not to mention that we have a travelling salesman who does know how to sell but likes to spin that he is selling billions and trillions …..

Just imagine if this is BN/PN government who announced all these taxes….what do you think the PH guys will say based on their past actions? Your answer is as good as mine.

Exactly. I am all for subsidies removal! And provide assistance through whatever name they call. Easy peasy.

And tax? GST. Simple ab transparent. But then due to all the bad vibes given by the then oppo on GST, now they cannot implement and have to go through all sort of rubbish taxes which is more complex to handle and subject to abuse by the lawmakers and private entities, ie more ‘abuses of the system’ if you know what I mean. 😉
