hi. my new company have USL, but i dont know what is it for.

if i am not sick but still take USL what will happen? is it considered cheating?

will HR punish me if they know im on holiday?

Sick without mc

My co has this too, once a quarter can take mc without certificate

Just apply one day

Just wondering, is it majority of /k working same company with you? If no, then it will be better to ask your HR instead.

Means u can take a day for emo day or simply don’t feel like working.

This is part of esg and staff welfare when they indirectly telling u have extra days of AL for ur mental wellbeing.

Company also got twice a year

Keep it for really emergency

But if you take it and post on social media you go holiday, then prepare to get letter from HR

MC/EL but cannot be stacked with AL for long leaves.

Proposing USL may not be as productive tho. Instead try “mental wellbeing day” with the emphasis on staffs welfare may give u a better chance haha! It won’t sound like u trying to have AWOL

better checked with your company's HR on exactly what this means.

if you're on MC and then being spotted outside enjoying i.e. partying...gg warning letter or kena sack even.

1) why are you asking others who are not working in the same company?

2) if you understand what sick leave means and you still take it when you're not sick, isn't it obvious it's cheating?

Please clarify with your HR as there a couple of scenarios.

1. It is really meant to be sick leave without the need for a medical cert which means you cannot use it to party.
2. It is meant to support your mental health, which means you can go on a spa retreat to de-stress (example) but don't go and post it on your socials.

mana ada unpaid sick leave under labor law. All falls to company's policy.

And it is likely only eligible when you have exhausted paid sick leave balance, then only can use USL.
