CODE OF ETHICS FOR PERMIT HOLDER ON REPOSSESSION

Permit holders issued with a repossession order by owner should only gain entry into premises with the knowledge and consent of the occupant. Trespassing into private property is not allowed without a court order obtained by the owner.

So it is allowed if owner gets a court order.

the owner wasnt at home la

so if the owner at home..even if he locked the gate..they can still repossess the car.
*
Still consider house breaking unless you have court order. If no lock then trespassing already.

civil suit cost money. if got money to hire lawyer to initiate lawsuit (minimum 10K), why don't have money to pay for car? in this case an Alza.

now the best loophole is to only drive the car from point A to point B. make sure not to park the car in public car park.

Only park in own house with gate locked. Or park in multistory carpark which tow trucks hard to enter.

Another loophole, if u don't want to pay tnb and the meter is inside your landed house with a gate, den just padlock it, tnb can't cut it off, they are only allowed in if the gate doesn't have padlock

If u live in a condo, even it's padlock and meter is within arm reach, den dey still can cut though 😁

To have access into a house perimeter, they need court order and only court bailiff can cut the padlock

Then TNB loss a lot of money..

I think they have a lot of lawyer to go court one

Nice loophole here, many people will use this instead…

Key points about repossession on private property:

No entry without consent or court order:
Lenders cannot enter your private property to repossess a vehicle without your explicit written consent or a court order.

Private property definition:
This includes your home, garage, yard, or any other area considered part of your private property.

Street parking is different:
If the car is parked on a public street, it can be repossessed without your consent.

it's not about gate or not
the problem is ..is it private property

if the car is sent to workshop or service center...no gate as well but repo man cannot enter because it's private property

as long as the car owner isn't stupid enough to double triple park somewhere or park at public parking, the car technically saying cannot be legally repo

without lock also can house break. see you go in do what first.

If you go in just see see for fun then come out then trespass.

If go in without breaking lock to check people's privacy can house break already.
