lol i don't know which is correct for the problem currently facing on my mom's waja.

some mech said it's mounting, some said because of electronics (ECU, TCU etc)

the ones that said electronics are the culprits said if mounting, for sure when start the engine already gegar-gegar. but this one sometimes gegar, sometimes no. sometimes drive gegar, sometimes no sweat.gif

ultimately one of the mech said ask proton to diagnose. and diagnose only, not repair as he said maybe he could do something about the diagnosed problems as proton would surely repair at cutthroat price. sweat.gif

15", 16" or 17" preferences is more to your budget and how daring you can be

latest prices checked:
15" - around 180 - 220
16" - 200 - 260
17" - definitely more than 250 each, and can go up to 500+ (conti, 225/40/r17)

and a 17" wheels will make you think twice to drive fast (u know, the potholes, even a small one can dent your wheel or tear your rubber)

ride height:
oem - 195/55/r15
16" - 205/45/r16 - not much difference
17" - 225/40/r17 - 1" higher ride, really spoil the car handling (to me lar). need to lower ride height
*
hmm, just for info, i bought new set of rims+tyres and trade in old 15" OEM rims+tyres for my mom on december 2007(i did mention it before last year too tongue.gif)

cost me RM1100

Rims 16"
tyres 205/50ZR16

brand EP tyres Accelera Alpha (V-shaped)
cost me RM180 per tyre.
abit noisy la, but the price worth it. smile.gif

pic..for tyre thread have to brighten up your monitor abit.
