Anytime someone informs you via phone you must do this before certain time, and usually it's a very tight and impossible deadline, it's 99.99% a scam.

They want you to panic, because you cannot make it on time. Then they will offer to "help" you call via their newly installed "hotline"...

In TS' case, since he can't go to the tng office, scammer will use the "hotline" and will get to speak to "someone from tng".... somehow last2 speak to inspector where he will be threatened to be locked up or have his bank accounts frozen unless he does something (like transfer money).
