QUOTE(speedy3210 @ Jun 10 2025, 12:10 PM) Thing is, many fleet owners already have this running for yearsss, with the advent of modern electronically controlled turbo diesel engine. They can even monitor the amount of diesel in the fuel tank, to detect pilferage of diesel fuel, unscheduled stops etc etc. The thing is JPJ does not have access to those information. Best is JPJ/traffic polis to have access to those telemetry information, and issue summon accordingly.

conduct random checks every few weeks to ensure the limiter is not disabled after inspection. Once they see it was tampered with, they can revoke the license. Must conduct surprise random checks. This is the only way!

QUOTE(denver1347 @ Jun 10 2025, 10:33 AM) 99% Limiter will spoil and company not repairing. Your problem is with enforcement. And why is limiter and not GPS tracking by company or even JPJ ? Geng-geng kroni belum ada supplier, jangan tanya soalan susah. The irony is, it's not within Ah Loke's hand. All these cartel are already part of the public service already, well embedded for decades during the BN times. Selagi ada selective social econmic policies, this will continue on the pretext of asalkan orang kito.

QUOTE(SuperTuhan @ Jun 10 2025, 10:30 AM) The driver not stupid They can remove it And pasang balik when it’s for inspection To be frank, everything also can hack in a vehicle. Even encrypted odometer also they hack the mileage. All government can do is just implement and tighten enforcement. There will always be those who get away with shit like this. As long as incidents reduced a lot is best we can hope for.

For bus, just do collaboration with redbus and easy book. Bus user can crowdsource GPS speed info from their phone at the exact bus ride time. If exceed speed, Redbus auto report to JPJ and alert user when buying ticket that this bus drive recklessly

It's always about some geng orang sendiri that wants a big slice of the pie.

QUOTE(scorgio @ Jun 10 2025, 12:02 PM) Last month I took express bus from Kanazawa to Kyoto. 260km, bus stopped twice at R&R, each time 10 minutes. Every stop, before passengers can go down, bus driver went down to place wheel stoppers on the front wheel. The ticket cost - RM150 (4 seats per row). Seat got safety belt & power plug. If Msian bus could charge half the price, I guess the service quality could greatly improve. But with RON95 at RM2.05, many will feel it's cheaper to drive 260km IF bus ticket gonna cost RM75/pax. i for one agreed with the raise in min wages and service pricing because with higher quality service comes with higher price
