I would root for most of our ASEAN neighbours when it comes to defending their turf from China
Exception being scambodia and myanmar, may they both get steam rolled and the pinoys whos love to claim sabah, claim our pfizer vac and generally talk alot of smack. That one whoever wins i happy And seeing the pinoy delegate it appears to be another case of talk alot but with nothing to backup. |

QUOTE(a_dot_el @ Jun 4 2025, 04:26 PM) Djibouti is the officially recognized one. Others are unofficial, even near us, there are a few in the reclaimed atoll. Those are hardly near us lah It's nearer to Philippines and Vietnam That's why there are more skirmish between them The nearest China island with an outpost to Malaysia is Taiping Island and it's controlled by ROC not PRC A lot of people though China was the only one building bases in SCS but in reality the biggest threat to us is probably Vietnam as the have the most outpost in SCS This post has been edited by 30624770: Jun 4 2025, 06:03 PM |

US is cash trapped and the national debt is escalating. trump is asking for money from everyone. What US can do is selling weapons to anyone at huge profit.

QUOTE(dattebayo @ Jun 4 2025, 11:54 PM) you need to know, almost all ASEAN nations have trade surplus with US KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 (Bernama) -- In the calculus of international trade, perception is power. Nowhere is this more evident than in the way the United States (US) calculates and presents its trade deficit.and US remains top 3 FDI into Msia, creating endless job opportunities and supporting livelihood of many middle class households meanwhile what does CCP contribute to the local economy? buying more musang kings and birdnest? exporting their chickens? robbing ricebowls from local Type-Cs? Since the 1980s, successive American administrations have focused almost exclusively on merchandise trade -- exports and imports of tangible goods -- while quietly downplaying, if not outright excluding, the significant surplus the US enjoys in services and sales, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. This selective accounting distorts the real economic balance, particularly with countries like Malaysia, and fuels false anxieties about the American decline. More dangerously, it legitimises punitive tariffs and aggressive rhetoric that harm multilateral trade and undermine ASEAN’s regional stability. The omission of services is not merely a technical quirk -- it is a strategic blind spot with geopolitical consequences. https://aei.um.edu.my/why-america-excludes-...d-spot-in-asia# |
