I got poisoned from this thread and from holding demo unit at Apple TRX yesterday. Since I bought from DirectD last year also, I just saja-saja ask them if they had walk in stock for 17PM. Mana tahu they reply that they had one unit each of walk-in stock for 17PM 512 GB in Blue and Orange today lol

Another plus point - they accepted my 16PM 512 GB Desert Titanium for trade in at their maximum RM 3500 too, even though it had 3-4 micro scratches near the edge of the screen and 1 at one corner of the metal sides.

But one minus point is that they tried to upsell me to take fibre glass SP + original Apple case + charger if I wanted to take home the phone today. This didn’t happen last year when I walked in on Day 1 because they said the unit they gave me was “someone else’s preorder unit that was planned to deliver next week but they only paid deposit so far”. Luckily I managed to negotiate with them down to 'just' a RM 99 screen protector, but considering I also got AppleCare+ it was a waste lol (told them to install it on my cousin's 17 standard that he got from walking into Maxis TRX yesterday.

Would have “saved” RM 600 if I ordered with Apple, but then they didn’t have stock in store when I checked online today (and in-store at Apple TRX yesterday) - and I didn’t want to wait one month since I’m going on holiday next week haha. Definitely recommend at least WhatsApping them if they have walk in stocks if your preorders are stuck lol

Don’t know… I got Ninjaz staff to apply for me. But I saw, it’s relatively easy. Anyone got OCD, should get this blueo sine it as an alignment tool.

Renewable? I think not in Msia yet that plan. MY so far I know only got annual AppleCare + RM929. It’s like buying insurance. Last year I bought for 16PM, halfway, I requested for refund. So paid like RM500.

Apple Care + covers 2 years. More than enough actually.. u should be upgrading by then.. either voluntarily or by poison here…

Yea, i compared UniQ and Loops at switch
in the end bought Loops cause has the camera button protection.
Both brand clear case looks similar also.
My SmartDevil case RM20+ also has camera button cover and works with those scroll
But the material is the hard case type feel , scare will scratch the phone so end up just ...
Put back into box (Maybe will issue refund together with the screen protector, hmm)
Bought the RM5 film that comes with 2 pcs which lowyat-er recommended
Without alignment, really hard to apply cause the "3 holes' shadow" will confuse my eyes, lol ..
End up with slight little bubble around the camera lens there but don't care d.

However, I believe warranty only applies for manufacturers defect and not any wear and tear or self-inflicted damage.

if you want a no-questions-asked exchange/refund, definitely the best bet is to purchase from Apple  Store TRX itself, or from Apple  Store Online.

Believe INGfusion got a replacement because of manufacturer defect.

If bought from TRX then yes can be returned even used, within 14 days.

But things might be about to change, they just rejected my casing return coz there's a small cut at the side, said to be wear and tear. I think their sop became harder now after INGfusion's attempt yesterday lol

Yup.. i believe some of the brand they even name this kind of latest TG applicator as “idiot proof”..

I’m used to install on my own since the early days..
But for the 1st time use such applicator was during last yr with the flolab AR.. indeed it was “idot proof”, less than 1 min.. just 2 steps.. allign & strip out the plastic..

Anyone here using the Apple Original Clear Case for Pro Max? I like that case but worried about scratches at the bottom part of the phone..
