Well it just means air version is thin... That's about it.

Safe to say vanity model among the line up?

To me Air is just addition, in case you want iPhone but don't want to use the same design as all the classic iPhone. Here you go.. slimmer, for the ladies. They just need one good main camera for portrait.

p/s: Even if it's not good, their MeiTu can help to compensate the rest.

iPhone 17 Pro to Feature New Antenna Design

According to a rumor from leaker Majin Bu, the iPhone 17 Pro models will feature a redesigned antenna system that wraps around the rear camera bump, potentially improving 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity.

This new design is expected to result in fewer antenna lines on the iPhone 17 Pro frame, and the devices are also rumored to use Qualcomm modems for cellular connectivity and an Apple-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip.

While the leaker's track record is mixed, with some accurate predictions and others not, the iPhone 17 series is expected to be unveiled soon, so official details should be available shortly.

It needs to be lighter due to the improved hardware.

That I'm not sure, but who knows, it is cheaper this year due to a stronger MYR? laugh.gif
We will know in a month time.

Beyond titanium: why aluminium wins

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to replace the titanium frames of prior versions with aluminium, based not only on engineering considerations, but also environmental ones. As GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu noted, aluminium production has a significantly lower carbon footprint than titanium production, approximately 67 per cent. The move fits nicely with Apple's aggressive 2030 goal to have every product carbon neutral.

Though titanium has a stronger strength-to-weight ratio (6:1 compared to aluminium's 4:1), aluminium has its advantages too. Notably, aluminium has higher thermal conductivity (237 W/m·K), allowing it to dissipate heat better. In our current time when smartphones serve as gaming consoles and production studios, thermal management is exponentially as important to keep performance sustainable.

The choice of aluminium also reduces device weight by 10 to 15 grams. This opens space for larger batteries and advanced camera modules, enhancing user experience without sacrificing portability.

-- I prefer titanium to aluminum because it has a premium look. If Apple hadn't initially introduced it, then people wouldn't complain if it were "downgraded". laugh.gif

Yes, usually if confirm getting it then should pre-order once it is announced. Otherwise, if you are waiting for ready stock to buy right away, the first few weeks will be tough to get, especially the special color.

Need see the device plan discount pricing first too.

And Family Plus - RM26.5 (SST inclusive) after 50% off

Then the plan will be out once it is ready for pre-order, you can see whether it is worth. Maybe buying from Shopee/Lazada/TikTok Shop later is cheaper, if can wait.

If based on last year memory, i recall the discount is like RM1k+ for Family Plus plan on iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max using 36 months contract.

Since i will be using 36 months using CC instalments if to purchase from those store like senheng / harvey, probably will just grab CelcomDigi's for instant discount (in monthly based)

My sister got almost 1k discount when she purchased 15P, 7 months later. laugh.gif But if you are using that much of data or bill paid by company, then worth it.

My first iPhone - 12PM was also bought from Digi but I realized I didn't use that much and it seems like a waste, after that I didn't bundle with plans anymore.

Only if you wanna ride on one Family member who has Ultra/Pro plan then join as Family Plus (RM25 / month)

Then can opt for easy360 as example below

So it will be RM25 phone line + RM1xx device price per month
Discount not as big as main line but then the price of telco line really cheap biggrin.gif
RM201 vs RM25 if compare Pro plan

Ya if you're using family plan or company got allowance. I think it is worth it if you sign telco plan, otherwise you actually pay more for the plan and bind for 2/3 years contract.

I think another reason is 36 months CC installment is too long for me. laugh.gif
Anyway, choose whatever suits you, so long you get to enjoy the phone too. laugh.gif
