Bought the Mageasy clear case from machines…too many Techwoven for pro max, so wants a change on this pro..clear case is actually quite nice on the pro, will share some pic later…for some reason I don’t like clear case on the pro max, feels plasticky on the bigger orange..
My second choice is actually silver. Coz silver can match with any casing, especially clear case, really bring out the elegance…
I was told the 17 pro batt is better than 16 PM too, but it shows otherwise. Maybe coz my pro going through indexes now, but the batt is definitely not as long lasting as my 16 PM, it was just less than a month ago I was using the 16 PM so memory still serves me well…

If I’m putting them on a scale, the batt on 17 pro is probably 5/6, 16 PM was 7, 17 PM maybe 8.
Hmm it’s not really bad kind of bad, but coming from many years of pro max, it drains batt much faster and I’m just not used to seeing it drop every tick per few mins..maybe I’ll be alright after a while when I get used to it (if I ever get used to it), but so far the pro max is winning..

I think the pro still lasts through the day even on heavy usage…definitely much nicer to hold on the hand, single hand typing is easier now, have to get used to seeing lesser on the screen due to smaller estate but that’s fine.

1 big issue with the pro though - when using the phone, my index finger tend to touch and rest on the plateau area and camera lens (not protected by casing hence need plateau film protector), on the pro max my index finger rest on the square panel (on casing) but this is just personal experience coz diff people has diff palm size and finger length, also different holding style etc. Now my camera lenses  are covered with fingerprints all the time (and also the plateau area, + to make it worse my plateau film has not arrive yet) might potentially leave scratches on the camera lens..

Anyway, I was just informed that I will be assigned as the project lead for a project in China. I will probably travel to China soon (most likely Beijing) in the coming months, and I can do my shopping spree while I'm there. Apple stuff in China is quite cheap.

Haha. It won't be so soon. Maybe Dec or Jan though I lived in Beijing before, more than a decade ago. My last trip to Beijing was this May. Enjoy China and shopping!

Mine was 80%. But maybe I was just lucky, again there are still other folks using 16PM still with 100% today.

Gone were the days when I do 80% on normal days, 90% when I travel abit further. Only can do that on pro max, tried it on pro and not working out well, been testing to increase 5%, now at 90% but I think will increase to 95% soon..

My bestie in China who is using 16PM, bought 2 months after me and always charges to 100%, I last checked with her in September and she said her battery health is still 100%. So, I’m not too sure anymore. It’s probably just 16PM.

Hmmm.. 17PM actually has lesser battery mAH than 16PM. Well, just use the battery. It’s really your luck, some battery have higher capacity, you can’t make battery all the same exactly.

Anyone changing iPhone every year, why bother limit battery charge.

iPhone battery change? ITworld, machines, battery replacement been great. If any doubts, go TRX service centre. Apple has very good tools for all these replacements. Go watch some YouTube videos.
Liquid Glass animation is unnecessary animation which takes up.. not sure gpu or cpu. Nonetheless still not required. Hope can turn it off.

Aiming for this case but some ppl complaint the camera button not sensitive.

Sufficient, but the oleophobic coating is getting less on my screen because I clean my screen very often. Confirmed won’t get 100% and can reduce the smudges.

I finally made up my mind to skip this year’s iphone.. although finally a fresher design after a long while, but anything Apple bragged about this phone has been one upped by this xiaomi, including the processor speed and battery life. Hence make me think this phone is gonna be outdated too soon. I’m looking forward to their game for next year, I think then finally a matured new iphone. This year is kinda like iphone 12, or iphone X, or iphone 6s trial phases 

This one seems more difficult to align and stick too.
If I go to Beijing to work, either in the office or hotel, other places no.
