If United goes for Dibu, Villa might instead go for Lammens to fill the gap. Little last minute merry-go-round.
Villa also asking about Sancho.

Isak to Liverpool, here we go. 125M.
Liverpool big money spenders this summer.

Not sure if we should pay 120m though.
*
120M for Baleba?
Absolutely not.

Plus, all of United's big fee transfers have failed.

In this, I also share the view we need a proven keeper.
We have bought potential instead of pure ability. And if the young keeper struggles to settle in the PL, we're back to square one.

A big gamble by the club.

Sancho will be in our history book as the worst signing and player of all time replacing Di Maria.
*
Because not just he screwed us in terms of game performance, club discipline, dressing room....but also club transfer plans.
Basically it's less damaging signing a cow instead of Sancho.

The early success indicators for Lammens is the first two games. In fact, maybe the first couple of crosses and corners.

The first cross he flaps at or the first corner he gets pushes around, it will be downhill from there. Opposition will start targeting him. For us, it will be back to square one.

Manchester United starting goalkeeper is not a place to slowly gain confidence. You need to dominate from the get go.

Reminds me of when we got VDS, after shaky Barthez, Roy Carroll, and Tim Howard... I forgot that Aussie GK's name. VDS brought the much-needed confidence in goal.

Then we got DDG, who was shaky at first—especially with corners—but he improved a lot over time.

Bosnich.
Oh god, I still remember the games he played in.

Would like to put out there that De Ligt has been excellent for us so far. Once Martinez returns, there should be healthy competition.

I can see Martinez - De Ligt - Yoro being the starters.

Do u think Martinez would be better playing as midfield?
*
I haven't seen him display the skillset required for a top class midfielder so I would not think so at the moment.
Martinez's biggest strength that I have seen is his passing range from deep. And to do so, he should be in a position where he faces the play. Meaning facing the opposition goal and seeing the pitch. Moving him to midfield takes away some of this, plus defending as a midfielder is quite different from defending as a defender.

So I'd say utilize his passing range on the left as a LCB, while Yoro can distribute from the right as RCB. That way we are more unpredictable.
I recall previously we had Martinez on the left, but at RB we had AWB who's passing wasn't strong. So teams pressured from the left side to force the ball to the right to AWB, and using AWB getting the ball as the pressure trigger.

Agreed. We did not make it to the next round by merit and rightly so.
Don't want the "backdoor" method.
*
Yes. I would be incredibly embarrassed if we did appeal.
Plus it is a technicality, the submission missed the deadline by.1 minute. It's not like they smuggled Messi in to play against us.

If the FA wanted to gift it, then fine. But for us to appeal, is low.

Anyway, can't wait to see how Lemons fare as keeper.

And we need to start scoring more goals, loads of them.
*
Huh. Got nickname de.
If he really koyak, I guess we really did get a lemon.

Had earlier commented Lammen's first catch from a cross will be the litmus test.

By catching a cross, never before has a goalkeeper caused such excitement amongst the fans.
Just shows how shaky our goalies are in recent memory. We are like Vampire FC, fear of crosses.

fun fact: bruno can play with mount cunha mbeumo mainoo and sesko together in a starting eleven under amorim system.

mbeumo - right wing
cunha - left wing
mainoo - no8
bruno - 10
mount - 10
sesko - 9

fun fact: with mount and bruno at 10, you have the most hardworking 10s in that area, for pressing and 2nd ball

fun fact: with mount and bruno, both are flexible enough to interchange position with wingers, central midfields, and striker anytime as they like during the game

..and amorim r too scared to make this changes.

This looks like an all offense lineup, midfield feels a bit flimsy.
