Last time we apply for Spore driving license using our physical Malaysian license in the 90’s. The Spore gov will pinch a hole into our Malaysian license after the issued us a Spore license. So we have to report our driving license was ‘stolen’ and issue a new Malaysian driving license. I do not know if this still applies for Malaysians applying for driving license in Spore using our Malaysian license. 😂

This physical is only for ppl that required to drive overseas

Singapore and Thailand accept digital license so JPJ will reject physical request for this two countries

Be careful with the JPJ too. Despite saying flight ticket, i suspect not that simple.

They will ask like how long you are there or whether you have a car there.

Actually I don't know why Anthony Loke and JPJ are so adamant on this physical/digital licence issue. What's wrong with us having a physical card driving licence?

Speaking of driving license,

I went to my friends house last week over dinner. He live in a condo. So we went there, register with guard, and guard is asking for driving license. Told the guard we dont have physical driving license anymore, but he insisted. I understand he is a foreigner and may not understand our policy, so i asked to talk to supervisor. Guess what, the supervisor is also another foreigner who dont even understand malay or english. They asked for IC, which I reluctant to give. Bising punya bising, in the end i gave them my CIDB card and told them its my another ID.

I keep my expired driving license in the car for this purpose.

If you go oversea and you want to drive u need physical license. Digital licence only accepted in Malaysia. Previously I want to drive to Thailand I went to jpj to apply they want to see my passport and hotel booking or some proofs to show you are going overseas and u need physical license.

The agrement with Thailand will be formalised in the Asean summit
