No. I don't think it is fair to do so since they are subjected to different taxation, operating cost and scale.

Existing distributor also imports from other countries like Japan which RRP is lower. I don't see they give heavy discount.

MG is one of those better EV around. Just that in China people dislike these sharp design. In EU and AUS, they are doing very well. Do you think it is fair practice that car manufacturers sell at the same prices in all markets that they are represented in?

For example, Apple iPhones used to be priced cheaper in Japan in 2014-2018 until Apple themselves recalibrated their prices and now the prices are pretty standard across the board.

For the record, I am not against Chinese cars. I feel they provide very good competition against the mainstream car manufacturers, some of them provide very good value and most of them price their products in Malaysia at prices that most Malaysians would approve. However, having said that, have you checked how much is the price of the car that you are considering against its price in China? You don't have to do it, but you should. It provides you with a fuller context. You might then be able to understand why are they priced differently and how they are able to price themselves here (some even provide maintenance for 5 years at no extra cost).
