Once the 100K grace period ends, these CCP companies will start "CKD" and even more price throwing will happen. Everyone knows all the "CKD" aren't really CKD at all. Not even 1 video of inside all these CKD factories in Malaysia has been shown until today. Expect Dolphin RM75K, Atto RM100K if they CKD. But Cherry is the more likely to "CKD" here. A Mazda salesmen told me that many ICE car salesmen left and joined EV companies because the commission is way much higher per unit sold. Margin is big to begin with.

MG is one of those better EV around. Just that in China people dislike these sharp design. In EU and AUS, they are doing very well. No CKD plan though for them in MY, this is what their salesmen told me. Not sure if the duties starts kicking in, what they would be priced unless some inter SEA region non-tariff pops out in the upcoming SEA conference.
