1:29 PM (9 April 2025) – Pamela used a Grab e-hailing service from Jalan Cheras to go to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya.

1:52 PM – Her phone was last detected near the MEX Highway, close to Putra Permai.

1:57 PM – Pamela messaged her lawyer on WhatsApp saying she was on the way and expected to arrive at MACC by 2:08 PM.

After 2:00 PM – Her family and lawyer tried to contact her, but she didn’t reply. WhatsApp messages were not delivered and calls went unanswered.

3:02 PM – Her lawyer filed a police report at the Presint 7 Police Station, Putrajaya.

10 April 2025 – A second police report was filed by the lawyer at Seri Kembangan Police Station.

2 May 2025 – Pamela’s family released a public statement asking for help from the public. They said the Grab car she was in was stopped by three unknown vehicles, and she was forced into one of them.

3 May 2025 – Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, confirmed the case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code (kidnapping or wrongful confinement). Several people, including MACC officers and Pamela’s lawyer, have given statements.

4 May 2025 – Pamela is still missing. Search efforts continue.

Background:

Pamela, 42, is the wife of Sarawak businessman Datuk Seri Thomas Hah Tiing Siu. They are going through a complicated divorce in Malaysia and Singapore, involving valuable assets.

Her lawyer, Datuk N. Sivananthan, said both Pamela and her husband are under investigation by MACC for a money laundering case.

This guy gets it, why a freaking rich Datuk Seri wife goes alone by riding a grab?

All the plot lines trying hard to blame MACC, while the family and grab driver keep changing story even after more than 3 weeks has passed.

Some more Sabah case, another rich tycoon falsifying documents to monopoly mining rights in Sabah using Malaysiakini as mouthpiece, keluar kad victim.

Some more one of Malaysiakini journalists caught red-handed taking bribes, but he putar halim claim that he is doing undercover journalists.

Which moron takes bribe money as evidence for journalism?

It is like MACC vs Malaysiakini + Sabah and Sarawak tycoon.

once again, a grim reminder that do not cross the path of someone stronger than us even by accident or involve in power struggle / too much important figure in a certain situation, quietly do our thing if we value our life, fight back only if u can win in 99.99% certain.

it is just like persona 5 opening game, where the main character tried to defend a women from being assault by a politician, just a example.

PETALING JAYA: The woman who went missing while on her way to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s headquarters last month had filed a judicial review against the anti-graft agency, just two days prior to her disappearance.
In her application, Pamela Ling had challenged the actions of the MACC for using its act and that of the anti-money laundering law to allegedly “exert pressure on Ling to resolve private disputes”, the family’s layer Sangeet Kaur Deo said.

In a statement, Sangeet said that Ling also claimed that she had been arrested and remanded without proper legal basis and in breach of due process.

She was also subjected to a travel restriction without explanation, Sangeet said.

Sangeet also said that Ling was questioned “no fewer than nine occasions”.

“Available records show that the MACC had subjected Pamela to a sustained and systematic campaign of pressure over several months.”

Ling’s brother, Simon, claimed that she had been abducted. He said an e-hailing car Ling was travelling in was intercepted by three unidentified vehicles, and that she was instructed to get into one of them.

Azam: Stop blaming MACC for Pamela Ling's disappearance

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Azam Baki has slammed some parties for claiming that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission had not accorded adequate protection to Datin Seri Pamela Ling before her disappearance.

The MACC chief commissioner said it was unfair to blame the commission over the case.

"I think the public needs to stop speculating on this case and allow the police space and time to investigate it thoroughly.

"You cannot blame us for her disappearance as the incident was beyond our control and occurred on a public road and not within the MACC compound," he told the New Straits Times.

Azam said there was no way to predict any threat to Ling's safety.

He said prior to her disappearance, Ling had been to the MACC headquarters several times to facilitate investigations into a money-laundering case.

"On these occasions, nothing untoward had occurred and there were no signs that she was threatened."

Azam said they would leave the investigation to the police.

"We will continue to cooperate fully. Our investigating officer who was tasked with taking her statement has also had a statement recorded by police."

On the money laundering investigation, Azam declined to elaborate, but said that they would be handling it themselves and would not require roping in other agencies at this juncture.
