Must be low class prc. My koliks from Prc memang want to visit SS2 just for class-A MK. Even BT also they not like. Just throw 300-500 for MK onli, puas. In prc all frozen and not fresh, tgai dutian for peasants onli, they say. Thai punya no smell, flesh byk, tasteless sometimes. Our ori MK bau onli can make you pengsan, little flesh but damn shiok.

dunno what MK you eat, but MK in SS2 all got plenty of flesh and breed selected for small biji one

the difference is flesh is creamy smooth not thick hard fibrous like disgusting bad thai variants

Yes I guessed why there is opposing tradition here, especially considering historical reasons for our ancestors to migrate here. Majority were poor but some definitely weren't.
That's because I know the reason for both views and its clearly tied to wealth.

My ancestors weren't rich either but they remembered the culture. I was also taught not to waste food growing up.

Lots of traditions and culture don't make sense or contradict their own belief system imo. Here also alot of food wastage in certain settings, usually outside of home. Sadly we rather choose to ignore it and kecam other countries only.
