Pls make it a rule that everyone of them is below 30 years of age. That day got an African age 35 or 45 involved in crime but come as student.

And UM

The irony that it is easier for China Chinese to enter UM than Malaysian Chinese is not lost on them.

Teaching in English doesn't mean they are good in English. Shows how out of touch you are.

Try to ask any local student or even go to xhs and see. Nobody wants to do group projects with China student.

Depends how it's delivered. My kid study internationl school 80% from prc. 1st day all cannot speak. Within 6 months all turn out pretty good really. Coz teacher said no Chinese words except mandarin. But did sure this is primary school.

you think we are still in 1980s?

they have been teaching english in china so long now.
back then malaysian teachers were wanted there because we can speak both english and chinese.
then now they prefer to hire westerners teacher.
*
Sorry to tell you, if you follow china news they been reducing classes for English.

And to add on, no local student want to pair with china students for assignments.

Their English CMI, they will use baidu to translate from mandarin into English and send you their part. Now got deepseek probably going to use deepseek.

I know a Chinese girl who come here to study English Language so she can balik china teach English. I have friends who is same course as her. Nobody wants to pair with her, and it's already her 4th year. Her coursemates already graduated a year ago.

Best part? She just took a break so that nobody knows of her reputation. She decided she want balik china and skip 1 semester cuz she don't like the food in Malaysia

In the past China students who score averagely will come to Malaysia, due to low requirement and cheaper in price.

But after MCO, there is quite a number of China adults study Master or PHD in local uni (UM, UKM, UPM etc), reason being is their company require them to have degree and master/PHD in order for promotion.

Only if CCP's economy is really bad and the youngster can't see a future and rather escape to a "3rd world country" (according to their standard)

Angmoh unis sure not better la. Now China unis top the rankings. It's just that their gov didn't build enough unis for the people and forced the ccp high ranking officers' to send their kids to study overseas only

I've met a few and all of them can write and understand but cannot speak. They already learn it as second language in high school but lack the conversation practice.
