Make drain bigger and better is a good point.

Plant more tree is not a good point..
Those stuff that clog the drain hole is actually tree leaves ya.. not yet count those branches

And also the amount of water that is rain down, u think how tree can absorb so much immediately ?

Immediately of course no but long run it helps

While Tree leaves can be an issue but they have proper cover and schedule cleaning can mitigate the issue.

creation of retention pond also helps

This is the core reason why floods are happening everywhere in Selangor. More development, Selangor gomen just approved all new projects, but from what I saw, never care about long term effect. No improvement on the road extension, hence jam like shit even at 630am, sure not improvement on the drainage system/line to compensate on the additional no. of project development. If blame the rain, last time also rain. Do the Selangor gomen care about everything or just busy gaining fund on their account?
