From this thread and facebook group, i found two opportunities at the moment :

TM is coming to upgrade my sister's router & modem this week. Out of the 4 available combo box (Skyworth, ZTE, Fiberhome & DLink), which one is the better one, if i can request with the technician..? My friend gave me his Skyworth GN630V combo box. Any improvement if i set it as bridge mode, replacing my Echolife HG8240H5 modem? Current plan is 500Mbps.

Mine from SWU2.0 500Mbps RM129 (Free 6 Months), succesfully migrated to SWU5.0 500Mbps RM90, with 1 week contract remaining. Not necessarily need to 'upgrade'.
If you are SWU3.0, jumping to SWU5.0 is like you get another round of SWU3.0 (RM119 free 6 months). Way better than you just staying with SWU3.0, paying RM119 for the rest of the time. This post has been edited by speeder_man: May 30 2025, 10:58 AM |

If you are on 2Gbps plan, supplied with the black Skyworth GN630V modem with extra 2.5GE LAN1 port, how do you set this modem in bridge mode to supply the 2gbps speed to router? I found that the WAN/LAN2 port is 1gbps only? Can set the 2.5GE LAN1 port as WAN?
