Why so pessimistic? If they cannot give you, rm159 is still the price you are willing to pay. You lose nothing by going with the flow.
Or you continue with rm90, which is a great offer by itself.
For TM, higher price is counted as upgrade. You can always go and ask for rm159 again.

In life, you need to try many times to become T1.
Rezeki jangan ditolak if it knocks.
Failure in the past don't dictate your future.
*
Wait bro, it’s not that I don’t like paying RM90 for 1gbps, I already mentioned that the telemarketer clearly stated the package offered to me was 500mbps (2 year of free 1gbps speed) at RM159. I have no issue paying RM159 per month, that’s the price I agreed to. So why are you implying that I’m rejecting rezeki? If RM159 is what I agreed upon (akad), but then suddenly I’m given 1gbps at RM90 due to some error, isn't that Haram? If you take something that doesn’t belong to you, you should correct it or at least inform them and get their agreement on the changes and not duduk diam2 saja

But again, what I’m pointing out here isn’t about wanting 1gbps for RM90, I’m complaining that I didn’t even get the correct 1gbps package at RM159 and TM will probably will not change it and made me stuck at 500mbps/RM90 package. And take note that the 500mbps with a free 1gbps speed upgrade for 2 years at RM159 is under the SWU 5.0 package, which is only offered to customers who are out of contract. Since I’m now stuck with the 500mbps/RM90 plan and my contract has been renewed for another 2 years, I obviously can’t switch to that SWU 5.0 package anymore during this period. For your information, the normal price for the 1gbps package is RM249, not RM159.

QUOTE(countingcrows @ Nov 4 2025, 12:45 PM)
I was told can upgrade from RM90 500/100 to RM159 1000/500 anytime.
During the call, I was offered these 2 plans.

I was worried that 500/100 will be shiet so I asked if I could change to 1000/500 if I found it unbearable.
I was told sure no problem...
*
I suppose you can’t change it, since when you switched to the 500mbps/RM90 package, your contract was renewed for another two years. The 1gbps/RM159 package is part of the SWU 5.0, which is only available to customers without ongoing contract, so you wouldn’t be eligible to subscribe to it.

Now I'm laughing at you.
You already told him you signed up for 159 with 500meg + temporary 1gig.
He said your package is correct and just missing the temporary upgrade.
You went all out argument with him, then post here and threaten MCMC.

Now you want to call him haram.
You know what. Suits you.
*
Bro, since you’re already happy with your 2gbps speed for cheap, you’re probably not aware of the SWU 5.0 package that TM has been offering this year. It’s not that I’m demanding a temporary upgrade, it’s literally part of the official SWU 5.0 offer by TM, lol. Anyway, let me share the details of the SWU 5.0 package here, though I doubt you’d be interested since you’ve already got that cheap package.

Unifi 500mbps SWU5.0 for RM90 and Unifi 500mbps SWU5.0 (with 2 year 1gbps speed which will revert back to 500mbps after 2 year) for RM159 is two different package. the name of the package also different. What I want is the latter but they mistakenly change to the 1st one.

I will just point to that one thing you need to change:
Do not assume thing.

You have that fixed price in your head.
You think I don't know about SWU. Maybe I know more about TM than you think.

I already told you TM marketing has no standard pricing and pointed out your blunder when you call them.

I'm all for people getting cheap and fast broadband.
You on the other hand have that fixed price mentality.
*
For me, 1gbps at RM159 is already cheap enough. But some people who luckily got it for less suddenly think everyone else is overpaying and and now they’re acting like they’re advocating for others to get the same cheap price too.

Everyone in Malaysia is overpaying.
But your ego is too high to accept RM90 for 1gig.
Why? Cos in your mind you are better than that guy working in TM. You know more than him. So you must argue with him.
Then you come here and post, for what? Show he bodoh? Or you are terpaling pandai?

When I point it out, all the excuses come out
1. You had bad past experience
2. It is not morally right to "scam" some billion dollar company (when they are the one who offer you)
3. What you ask for is already cheap enough, as if paying less money is sinful

Now you are basically saying I am the bad guy for advocating people to get cheap internet.
*
Yes, they were stupid for keying in the wrong order and of course I love getting 1gbps at RM90. But let’s be real, almost no one gets that price under the SWU package. Since I already know they made a mistake with the order, why should I even be hopeful that I’ll get the 1gbps upgrade at RM90?

It’s not that I’m ungrateful, I just know what the actual issue is. I’m only asking here to see if anyone else had a similar experience and whether they eventually got the correct package after lodging a report.

Can lar. Restart the 2 yr contract lar when you change from 500/100 to 1000/500...

You want to pay higher monthly sub to TM, and increase TM ARPU, you think TM say no? 😁
Bole sb it is an upgrade.
If downgrade (pay less monthly sub), then mebbe problem lar. Then you have to wait for contract to expire...
*
Not sure, because I tried using my other account that has already been on the 100mbps SWU 5.0 plan for 6 months, TM said it’s not possible and that I need to wait until the contract period ends.

Anyone here managed to upgrade your SWU 5.0 package from a lower speed/price to the 1 Gbps RM159 one?

my plan 30 to 100 to 300 now SWU 5.0 account number still same

start with 7 is unifi mobile acc number, not unifi home
*
That’s exactly what I’m wondering too. My new account number now starts with 7 after switching to the SWU 5.0 package. Why did they need to change the account number in the first place? And now my old account has disappeared from the MyUnifi app and need to access through their Unifi UniVerse app as per attached SS.

same, change my account number to new one which also starts from 7

Chat with live agent, told me to wait few more days

Nearly 1 weeks had passed, don't even saw my account under unifi app or unifi website (user before and after march 17 2025) doh.gif

Are you requesting them to change back to your old account number? Is that possible? I currently have two accounts, and it’s quite troublesome to monitor both since I have to open two different apps.

f you are Maxis user, you will see this offer pop up from occasionally in Maxis app or get call. I saw the offer for 30th anniversary, 159 but price back to 249 after 2 years.
*
Then really not for me. To terminate unifi will take around 2 month then after that can get maxis. Better to remain with unifi if can get the same price.

So after receiving the call on Wed afternoon to confirm switch to SWU... until now I checked under My Activities and My Orders still nothing. Is this normal? Just worried they missed out my request or something
*
Normal same as me. Just wait to receive the order detail through your email. You can also check through live chat on the status of the order.
