Yea got the call recently. Just waiting for the switch to happen. Not too excited as its a downgrade.
Just want to reset my TM sub as I see some paying less than me for the 1G plan... 😁

Mine took about a week + after phonecall then only I got a SMS from TM...
Then a few days after the SMS, the switch was concluded.


SWU 5.0 guys, did you guys get new equipment?

The TM Service Acceptance Form I received via email mentioned the equipment I'm supposed to have is a SKYWORTH
GN630V but I was not given any router.

I got a call from a TM installer who wanted to come to my home to set up but I told him no nid as I was not free.
He said ok, just restart my BTU and the new speed will be effective.

But it seems I missed out on a new router?

I'm just worried my BTU (very old already) mati 6 months down the road, then TM telling me need to extend contract for the new equipment.

Dulu, BTU they have to give without any contract extension but now they only give combo box, need to recontract if my old BTU fails to just use the combo box as a BTU?

The installer will call before he comes. Tell him tak payah datang sb TM said can be done without anyone coming to the home.
He will happily say ok. Later just on/off BTU...

That's what happened to me.

During the call, I was offered these 2 plans.

I was worried that 500/100 will be shiet so I asked if I could change to 1000/500 if I found it unbearable.

You want to pay higher monthly sub to TM, and increase TM ARPU, you think TM say no? 😁
Bole sb it is an upgrade.


If downgrade (pay less monthly sub), then mebbe problem lar. Then you have to wait for contract to expire...

Condo, every single home on multiple levels probably has their own wifi, how not to be congested, resulting in paltry speed?

Just buy another router or mesh will solve the problem? Sure? 😁
