pinjam thread im considering to get my FIRST multifx and music store from ipoh quote me rm595 for g2.1u WITHOUT adaptor. hows the deal? i think its quite normal for shops here to jack up the price here. i seldom travel to KL so it might be quite a hassle if i were to take a trip down there just to get it from the music shop. BUT if its a whole lot cheaper than of course its worth it another question, do all multiFXs come with amp modelings? amp modeling basically means simulating tones from big names amps like Marshall right? i asked the dude working there and he said g2.1u does not have amp modeling. which makes me very confused. need someone to enlighten me. last question, how does g2.1u stand compared to a floor pod? which has more value for money? thanks a bunch guys !

This? http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/products/g21u/"16 Classic Amp & Stomp Box Models" Yes, there's amp modeling and it does mean simulating tones from bigger amps. If possible, give the Floor Pod and the Digitech RP series a try. The Digitech has gotten some good reviews, not sure if it's available at your place though, but Bentley carries Digitech.

Again, I don't like Zoom because a) They don't last long....... both my Zooms suffers from broken pedal syndrom. and b) They sound like microchips.
Like Led_Zep, I too would recommend the Floor Pod or the Digitech RP.... but they ARE more expensive then the Zoom. If you're on a tighter budget, try out the Korg Ax1500..... it lasts longer and sounds better then Zoom IMO.

for beginner multi fx good for experimenting with, but good wan also mahal, cheap wan ppl say sounds bad. haha. I think multi-fx good for live gigs, easy to set pads n save, gig time just pijak pijak change on the fly.
stomp box definately better than multi-fx, ask any sound engineer, especially those dat do recording in studios. I have never come across one who preffers multi over stomps. But for live gig, if u need diff diff fx then hard to adjust one by one especially when diff songs are diff tempo for delay pedal u need adjust the RATE. Dats y pro artists have many delay pedals, each set for one song. But they r rich or sponsored.
So wut i said doesnt solve any problem. hahaha. CHeers!!!

Skwisgaar Skwisgelf uses it. And he's the fastest guitar player in the world. So if he uses it, it's the equivalent of the entire world uses it. You can find the rest of the slow world here: http://line6.com/podxtpro/artists.htmlThis post has been edited by blacktrix: Nov 15 2007, 09:43 PM
