Hi all, recently my residence faces internet downtime from Unifi. The downtime causes adults within the residence not able to work since we relies heavily on internet. We try to use mobile data inside the house but the data reception is really bad (Even though there is 4G, the connection is not stable).
So I'm thinking if there is anyway to increase the mobile signal within the house? I saw there are LTE Booster / Signal booster selling on Lazada/Shopee, wondering if they are reliable or safe to used?
The signal outside the house is quite good, good internet speed and 4G LTE signal. But once stepped into the house, then the signal will dropped quite badly.

get a couple prepaid from different telco to test and use the one that have the most stable signal within the house as backup if unifi ever fail again, since is work related, can’t afford to be in awkward situation again.

We're currently using Maxis. Previously we tried Digi but the reception was also weak. Since Digi and Celcom merged so I think we don't have much options. Most guests using their mobile within our house also complaint about internet speed. So I think it's related to house location.

AFAIK, signal boosters are illegal in Malaysia.

See if your smartphone can lock band to a 4G band with lower frequency (= gives longer range and better object penetration), eg Band 1/2100MHz instead of Band 7/2600MHz. .......

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxis_Communications
= Maxis 4G cell towers broadcast on Band 8, 3, 1 and/or 7.

Most Samsung Galaxy phones can lock band by dialing a certain code.

Yea...my brother did told me signal boosters are illegal in MY...so still thinking twice about this approach...
I just set my mobile connection to use LTE/3G/2G instead of 5G/LTE/3G/2G, I think this should fix my connection to 4G/4G+. Tried the code method doesn't seems to work.

It has been 72 hours since my unifi is down. Called customer service several time but keep getting "In progress by technical team" as feedback. Asked them to provide regular feedback if possible but no response from technical team at all. I just filled MCMC complaint on this.
